This is a great place. We chose La Villada because of a recommendation by another backpacker and decided to go for it despite the distance to the center of the city. It really paid off. Starting from our arrival at the ADO station, it was great. We called one of the owners and he immediately went to pick us up.... More

Loved this place, stunning views, beautiful charmingly decorated rooms.Very tasty food and very freindly and helful brothers who run this hotel.Loved it so much we extended our stay to 10 days.Great large pool with sun loungers. The only downpoint is the location, its a 10min downhill walk to the station then a 20min bus journey to the town.Although we thought it... M y husband and I stayed in this Hostel for five days. The family is attentive to guests and very charming. We loved the pool and as a birder, watching the birds added many new sightings to my list. The vistas of the valley and mountains is "awesome". Breakast choices were real good. Fruit and the best Coffee offered on... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Villada Inn during the festivities of the Day of the Dead in late October, early November. I loved my experience there, and I would recommend this inn to everyone! The inn itself is incredibly quaint. The rooms are modest, but very clean and comfortable. They are very nicely decorated with pretty textiles and... More

After a long journey and a quest tired of this hotel-certainly far from the downtown, when we finally arrived, the owners of the place were completely drunk. The sheets were very dirty and when we asked them to change them, instead of assuming their responsibility, we almost got fired of the place by the owners!!!! I do not recommend it... More

La Villlada made our Oaxaca experience. The family is exceptionally friendly. The vista is breathtaking. The food was clean and the service personal. This is truly a hidden gem (it is a little tough to find). I arrived late with a close friend. She was very sick and and hadn't eaten in two days. The restaurant was closed and the... More

Absolute dream of a hostel. Up in the mountains overlooking oaxaca and only a minute down the hill to the bus into town just five minutes away. Excellent rooms with hot water and a beautiful swimming pool. Owned and run by a fantastic mexican family with three charming senoras running the restaurant. Very good value for money - only $25...
