I visited Oaxaca over the Day of the Dead weekend in November. I'm used to staying in hostels and my friends and I were attracted by the price and location. There is a kitchen for self-catering although we didn't use it, and a courtyard which is lovely in the sun. The breakfast was good, with fresh fruit, bread, coffee and... More

The positive: A great location! Friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Security to the front door 24 hours a day. Great breakfast (fruit, toast, jam, and cereal). Clean. Comfortable beds. Social common space. Computers. The downside: The common room is on the other side of the dorm rooms, and the dorm rooms have a very thin metal door that provides... More

Not a bad place to crash is Oaxaca. The place is clean and safe and the breakfast is very good. Free wifi and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel is not in the centre of town, however i is only a very short walk

All of the staff here were very fair to me, especially considering the fact that they helped me with a problem on my HI membership card. I was the one getting upset over a mistake that Mundo Joven Catedral made, but all of the staff, including the manager, kept calm and assisted me. I do appreciate that. Having said this,... More

It is central and good to reach by bus from the central station. The room was clean, but there was no possibility to make it dark. So it we woke up with the first sun in the morning. Despite the beds are quiet uncomfortable. Toilette and shower has been cleaned regularly and were absolutely fine. So all in all a... More

We stayed in a private with ensuite - the room was a decent size, with an extra bunk bed for groups or families, but, the bed was pretty uncomfortable, and there was a huge gap above the door, which opened up into the courtyard so the room really lacked any privacy. the shower was a bit temperamental, cold on the... We appretiate your review, we will work as soon as possible to solve about shower. The hostel is a typical mexican house (rooms around a patio) so, in some rooms when you open door you get to the open green sunny patio with tables and chairs. Thanks for your review. More

I spent just one weekend but it was nice, cheap and comfortable. People is very kind. Maybe the only thing I didn't like was that my bedroom remained unclean. Nice location and paintings on the walls.

Great you had such a nice experience in our hostel. We clean all rooms everyday from 11am to 1 pm, if someone is inside till 1pm, we dont clean it for respect of the guest. For ecology care, we change sheets every 3 days, or if you want to change everyday we can do it. Thanks for your review. More

The place is ok. The breakfast doesn't have much to offer if you can't eat gluten. The wifi doesn't reach most room and is terribly slow. There was some issues with the hot water and my room had no windows. My shower was not clean (hairs from previpus guest). I found the pictures on the website misleading. Overall, it is... More

I stayed here for 3 night with some friends over the day of the dead weekend. The hostel has a kitchen, living room and a pretty courtyard. The dorm rooms are very basic but comfortable enough and have lockers available (but bring your own lock), the showers, sinks and toilets are also basic but fine. Breakfast was good, there was... Desk staff incredibly annoying and incompetent - told us we couldn't have our yha discounts unless we paid in exact cash and refused to give us change. Completely uninterested and unhelpful. One sink and one shower for all guests! Outrageous. Rooms very basic and adjacent to the communal eating area so noisy. The adds promised a great breakfast. The only... More
