This is a lovely spot to escape to. Right on a private beach, hemmed in by rocks and forest, it's hidden and enchanting. The cabanas are rustic but clean. This place is one-of-a-kind. A must try for seasoned travelers. Isolation yet not totally cut off from the world. The internet works! (Often a nightmare more often than not in Mexico). I went with a frien and both tough that we were in heaven. you can´t ask more to the place... sun, beach, relaxation but....... The place is far of a principal city... yes, that is not a problem. We rented Casa Ivan (grande), a 2 bed cabana on a large rock, 5 meters from the roaring pacific, which fitted our family of 4 adults 2 children perfectly! We flew to Huatulco (one of mexico's prettiest airports) from Mexico City, a very easy 45 minute flight followed by a half hour taxi ride through scorched Oaxaca to La Boquilla.... more

If you are looking for fancy resort, active nightlife or citylights, this isn´t probably for you. On the other hand, if you want to find a place to relax, take it easy and find nature as it is, this might just be perfect place to spot. Nevertheless, here is how to enhance your stay: BUGS I would change the "You will see bugs" comments, to "You will see and feel bugs, scorpions, snakes and/or jellyfish." We saw all of these.
