We visited Oaxaca for 4 nights and our stay at Maria's BnB was nothing short of amazing. Our flight got in late as well as late at night and we were taken to our lovely room with ease. Traveling with a 2 year old is not easy but Maria had a pack n' at set up for our daughter and... More

The rooms are fresh and clean, Maria the owner shows great care and hospitality. Breakfast is charming in the courtyard. They have bikes to borrow. They are located a little out of the center but it's nice as it keeps quiet. They're own mescal is also delicious!

We stayed here for six nights and were very happy that we found it. Maria is so friendly and helpful. We had very nice breakfast of fruit, juice, great coffee and a traditional Mexican dish every morning in the courtyard. The only downside to the room we booked was that the bathroom was tiny. I might ask for a different... More

Maria speaks amazing English. She picked a good room for a couple with a kid - the kid got to stay up some steep stairs in his own little upstairs loft in the room and thought it was really fun! Despite being on the street the room was quiet and we slept great.

I've visited Oaxaca 4 times in the last 6 years. I'm familiar with the city and I've stayed in all sorts of accomodations, from fancy establishments, such as the Quinta Real hotel, to low-key house rentals, the sort you find at Airbnb; but my stay at el Diablo y la Sandia has been the most memorable. The hotel is extremely... More

My wife and I had a wonderful week-long stay at La Sandia y El Diablo in Oaxaca. The location is perfect and within walking distance to everything. We did not see the other rooms but the room we stayed in was very spacious with private bath. Everyday, delicious breakfasts were prepared by the staff which we enjoyed in a large... More

El Diablo y La Sandia is a beautiful bed and breakfast serving gourmet breakfasts with a colorful flourish. The rooms reflect the colorful textiles of Oaxaca. The staff keep the B&B immaculate. The staff go out of their way to be helpful when there are special needs.

This B&B is a delight: quiet yet close to the Zocolo, informal and friendly. The rooms surround a courtyard where breakfast is served - and what a breakfast! We stayed 4 nights and had different food each time. The staff are helpful and friendly and Maria is both charming and full of information. The rooms are clean and comfortable with... More

We loved El Diablo y La Sandia. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and the decorative way the table in the central courtyard was set each day was very attractive. We enjoyed talking with other tourists over breakfast and enjoying a glass of wine on the rooftop patio. The location is close enough to the centre to walk but far... More

This is a small hacienda style B and B a few blocks from the Zocalo, Santo Domingo and most tourist spots in the centre of the old town. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, including a small wine and tapas bar called Tastavin that we particularly enjoyed. Maria was extremely helpful recommending restaurants and sites to see. The... More
