We stayed here for two nights, the 18th and 19th of October 2009. We had actually booked to stay four nights in another hotel in Oaxaca but after two nights and discovering the Parador we decided to move here. Why? Because the Parador is simply superb. Located close to the Zocalo, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean rooms, possibly the best showers... more

Great location, so expect a little bit noise from the zocalo... nevertheless is just in the afternoon because none works or partys late. Great food at the restaurant. Fast service at front desk, helpful staff. Room 208 was perfect for the two people. Clean and spacious bathroom. We really loved it! more

We stayed here after a recommendation by another couple from the Mexico City area. The hotel is located close to the main square but far enough away from the noise and calamity of the happenings. It's about a 4-5 blocks walk away. It's also just a 5 minute walk to where all of the "hipper" restaurants and more expensive hotels... more

My family and I stayed at Parador San Miguel for one evening because we could not book at a B&B for the entire week. We count ourselves lucky! The staff were very courteous and friendly, the location is ideal (just a block from the center of town), and the hotel is beautifully decorated. If it were not for the price,... more

We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. Very close to historic centre of town. It is the cleanest hotel we have every stayed in. The staff spoke or understood English and were always friendly and what great smiles. Special mention for Abimael, Abigail and Ronaldo! It was a great base to explore the city by foot. Then when needing... more

Stayed for 4 nights. Fabulous location 1/2 block from Zocola, friendly and helpful staff, immaculately clean. Charming courtyard and rooftop deck. Don't think you can go wrong with this hotel. Can't comment on restaurant, only had breakfast there. more

A lovely little hotel right in the centre of Oaxaca. Extremely clean and decorated in a traditional style. Reception staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. We had breakfast there just one of the momings which was pretty nice. It's no 5-star luxury hotel but is absolutely perfect for exploring the town. The nearby Zocalo has great places to eat.... more

We stayed at the Parador San Miguel for 2 weeks in June 2008. The location could not be better. Central location and very easy walking distance to everything: 1 block to pharmacy and post office, 2 blocks to the Zocalo or Alcala (pedestrian street), wide selection of restaurants, markets ... within 5 minutes walk. Aesthetically the hotel gets high marks... more

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in early March. The Hotel is in a great location only a block from the zocalo, and close distance to the markets and other attractions of Oaxaca. Hotel is very authentic and the room we had (standard) was large and spacious. Only one bottle of water per day was supplied but there... more

Had an extremely pleasant stay end of Feb/ early March 08. Staff was very friendly, but desk staff had rather limited grasp of English. Restaurant was fairly good, but one the one evening meal was accompanied by a bland mole. Restaurant too noisy with active street location and door/windows (2) wide open all the time. Decorating was very nice and... more
