We stayed here after a recommendation by another couple from the Mexico City area. The hotel is located close to the main square but far enough away from the noise and calamity of the happenings. A lovely little hotel right in the centre of Oaxaca. Extremely clean and decorated in a traditional style. Reception staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. I recently spent three nights at this hotel and found the staff extremely friendly, the building and room immaculate and nicely appointed, and the restaurant and location (two blocks from the zocalo) excellent. We requested a quiet room, and were given an interior room mostly insulated from street noise. The only downsides were that there was a rowdy group also... more
