Two of us spent a week in the hotel. They found a fine guide to get out into the Oaxacan countryside, and arranged a really enjoyable cooking class, in addition to doing what a hotel always does. The restaurant was a little on the expensive side by local standards, but is dependable and, as with the hotel, the service was... More

We only stayed here for one night at the end of our trip, but I wish we had stayed there for more nights. It was a truly excellent venue - comfortable bed, very nice bathroom, lots of amenities we appreciated. When I return to Oaxaca in the future (because I'm sure I will!), I'll stay here. One note: if you're... More

This Hotel is very near the Cathedral & the Zocalo. It is a traditional style, built around a lovely open air courtyard, with songbirds in funky cages, and a small cafe for meals. Our room was huge (only internal windows), and beautifully decorated, and we too delighted in the swan sculptured towels left for us by Marya. The Hotel very... More

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the Hotel Parador San Miguel. The room was comfortable and the location was great - a 5 minute walk to the zocalo and close to other main sights and restaurants. The ambience of the hotel and room were charming: Mexican colonial, but not over the top. There is a central courtyard on... More

The San Miguel is centrally located surrounded by a buzz of Oaxacan life. The Zocalo, main square, is 2 blocks away, as well as the cobble stone street, Calle Macedonia Alcala, that is blocked off to traffic that goes north to the upscale Santo Domingo area. The large crowded local food and craft market is several blocks south on 20... More

Not really too much to complain about. The room was large and very nicely appointed. It was a little odd that it had no windows, but that wasn't really too much of a negative. Things were kept spotless, and the staff were beyond friendly. My only complaint was the noise level - the open courtyard transmits any street or restaurant... More

Loved the hotel. Great location, great room and amenities in room. Very close to the zocalo which has a multitude of restaurants and shops. If you need clothes washed there is a laundry not far away on Hidalgo. Would definitely stay there again

I was not staying in the hotel and just happened on the restaurant. It was tranquil on New Year's Eve (especially after the loco zocalo!). Nice guitar music (canned) playing. Rather formal architecture, made more playful with a pinata. The menu offered a good range of dishes and I had the waiter's recommendation of pork in pineapple (125 pesos). It... More

We stayed in this hotel recently. The check in service was quick. However there is not a lot of introduction about what services are available in this hotel. I find the roof terrace interesting for photos. However we only accidentally discovered it on the last day. The hotel does provide free wifi . It is very close to touristy spot.... More
