I stayed here three nights starting July 10, 2014 and stayed in the best suite as a single. First of all the location is superb. Close to the main square and all points of departure. One of the draw backs here is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. There is a ceiling fan which circulates the hot air.... More

For a fair price, you get a nice-sized room, cable TV, large breakfast menu as hotels go in Mexico, and friendly service. I also liked that it is not a hotel that caters to mostly North Americans. I like staying in places where paisanos (country citizens) frequent; it gives me more of a cultural feel to the area. Even though... More

I made reservations 7 months ago to ensure 2 rooms for the Dia de Muertos holiday and now they cancel us since they oversold. Its bad business and so careless because now there is the difficulty of finding any good place down town. why were we not told sooner? these nasty practices will hurt future business.

This a a small courtyard hotel, with about 16 rooms, one block from the Zócalo. In spite of being right in the middle of downtown, the street is fairly quiet. They offer breakfast (no other meals) in the central courtyard, a good varied menu featuring local Oaxaca cuisine for the most part. Breakfast is included if you pay cash (M$).... More

We stayed there for three nights, and enjoyed it very much - as we had one of the rooms facing the patio, with a big window. As this is an old monastery they have to cope with the existing layout, windows and so on - but this exactly is the special charm of this parador. But it is treu, that... More

We stayed 5 nights in Parador Agustin on a visit to Oaxaca. The location is perfect, one block from the Zocalo, easy walking distance from restaurants, coffee shops, bars, churches, museums and anything else in the historic center. The hotel is an old historic building located on a busy street where parking is a challenge even for taxis. Our room... More

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a room at the front of the building. It was very spacious and comfortable. The management and employees were all very friendly and helpful, giving us information and advise when asked. The premises are kept very clean and the breakfast was not only very good but complimentary as well if... More

The location of this hotel is very central and we found that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff is very friendly and the bonus of getting a free hot breakfast if you pay in cash is awesome! The layout of the hotel is a bit odd and our room was right near the front... More

This place was very nice - the breakfast menu, although limited, is delightful (the small fruit plate (less than $3) was a light breakfast in and of itself). The rooms are enormous, private, and comfortable. I noticed right away that the linens and bedspread seemed truly clean- NOT the norm at hotels! The staff is friendly, accomodating, and helpful. They... More
