My family stayed here for 8 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it! Only one block away from the zocalo, three from the Benito Juarez market or a handful of great museums. If you pay for the room in cash, breakfast is free, but there are plenty of good inexpensive eateries a block or so toward the south, and some... More

We stayed in the room 104 at the Parador. I hope this room was one of the least desirable ones and that those on the higher level are better. Upon entering the room, I was overcome by the smell of must. Also, there were no windows, which made the room very dark, even with the lights on. I would have... More

This hotel is just one block from the zocolo. Our room was very quiet and the wifi worked well in the room. Breakfast was included and they served a full meal with a main dish, fruit plate, bread and coffee. The employees are very nice and go out of their way to be helpful. It was a nice place to... More

Restored building with Center courtyard. Close to the center town market and cathedrals. Front desk staff were very helpful in providing tourist information. Wifi available in the rooms. Outdoor veranda available. Breakfast ordered a la carte from a comprehensive menu.

A rare find very near the zocalo. Totally unassuming from outside interior is classic colonial, friendly helpful staff, big clean rooms and baths = good deal for the money. Good breakfast included if room paid in cash. What more do you need. Quietest rooms have no window which assures your peace at night. Go test it! At least in fall... More

First you need to understand the expression "artsy." Then the confusing cluster of hotels you see crowded into the central district on every online hotel site will start to make more sense. Where you want to be in Oaxaca is the "historic district." If you draw a big circle around the central square ( zocalo ), you've outlined the historic... More

I stayed here three nights starting July 10, 2014 and stayed in the best suite as a single. First of all the location is superb. Close to the main square and all points of departure. One of the draw backs here is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. There is a ceiling fan which circulates the hot air.... More

For a fair price, you get a nice-sized room, cable TV, large breakfast menu as hotels go in Mexico, and friendly service. I also liked that it is not a hotel that caters to mostly North Americans. I like staying in places where paisanos (country citizens) frequent; it gives me more of a cultural feel to the area. Even though... More

I made reservations 7 months ago to ensure 2 rooms for the Dia de Muertos holiday and now they cancel us since they oversold. Its bad business and so careless because now there is the difficulty of finding any good place down town. why were we not told sooner? these nasty practices will hurt future business.

This a a small courtyard hotel, with about 16 rooms, one block from the Zócalo. In spite of being right in the middle of downtown, the street is fairly quiet. They offer breakfast (no other meals) in the central courtyard, a good varied menu featuring local Oaxaca cuisine for the most part. Breakfast is included if you pay cash (M$).... More
