We stayed at the Trebol for 6 nights and had a very good experience. The hotel is located a block from the Zócalo and directly in front of one of the local markets, which offers just about anything you want to buy, including amazing food. The only issue with our room overlooking the market was that there was a lot... More

The location of Hotel Trebol was excellent - two blocks from both the zocalo and key markets. The travel agent there, Carmen, was fabulous. But the rooms were average, shower was horrible and the place lacked character or any real service.

Right next to two huge markets and surrounded by various local businesses, a block from the city center and its many restaurants and activities, and just a short walk to most all the colonial buildings that make Oaxaca City special. Very helpful staff, comfortable rooms - we had one king size bed, and adequate amenities (easy access to pure water,... More

There was my wife and sister-in-law travelling together. We reserved a room at the Trebol;mistake;too small. We asked for a larger room and were moved into a nicer, larger room on the second floor. The mattresses were not very good. Since the missing Malaysian Air plane was in the news, we wanted to watch coverage, but we were out of... More

After showing up, fresh out of NorthWest America, I found Hotel Trebol recommended in this small book about Oaxaca. I didn't have a reservation and I could barely speak Spanish, but I got a room for 2 nights. A very comfortable bed, awesome sheets, great, real, furniture to put stuff in, great color scheme felt traditional. Fast Wi-Fi and a... More

We spent 6 nights at the Trebol in February and had a great time. We were in a non-aircon (did not need it) room away from the street...room 209. It was very clean with nice sheets etc. the front desk staff were somewhat aloof but pleasant and helpful enough. we speak Spanish and this was a help, I think. A... More

I feel uniquely qualified and definitely indebted to Hotel Trebol having just spent two weeks there over the holidays with my wife and 5 year old son. The location is fantastic. A short walk a block away from the Zocalo and right across from the frenetic Mercado Benito Juarez. During Christmas, every night we stepped out of a crowd and... More

We did not pick this hotel. The tour group did. After staying there for 5 nights, I would make it my own choice for a couple of important reasons. It was reasonably priced at about 600p. It was clean and attractive. Not a knockout, but welcoming. It was quiet with says a lot given the hordes of people on the... More

The hotel has standard and superior rooms. As per their information by phone the only difference is that superior rooms has a/c but that's not true. The superior rooms have new furniture and are much nicer decorated. When we arrived they showed us both rooms as I asked for and they where able to give us the superior room. The... More
