Nice room in a very cozy refurbished colonial house. Great location within the downtown Oaxaca area. Only bad part is it does not have hot water, so if you're into cold showers look no further! Room was spacious, had AC and cable TV. Central courtyard has seating area and food/drinks.

But, the safe wasn't working, their English not good and we wasted half an hour to get the safe sorted, precious time which we would have preferred to visit the beautiful town. Same problem with the safe on departure date. But room, wifi courtyard were great.

I have stayed at Sierra Azul twice. Very nice, clean, a/c, good service. Staff will help you if you need taxis, directions or reservations. However, book on internet and will be a lot cheaper than going directly to the hotel. My only complain is that the rooms are dark and not enough lights.

After reading everything Oaxacan my bestie and I stayed at Casa de Sierra Azul for 7 days. It was everything we was hoping for. The colonial mansion was full of the character we were expecting. With just 17 rooms (and a new addition of 4 more) our room was complete with a exposed brick wall, comfy beds, a nice bathroom... More

Great location in the midst of Oaxaca city, beautiful spacious rooms located around a garden square. An old building with original paintings with friendly and warm people. Have their own brand of Mescal, a restaurant and bar, feels very "at home". Also has a balcony on roof with gardens now in the process of being finished, looks very promising. Highly... More

The hotel is well situated in the city, just two blocks away from the main square Zocalo. Which means, close to the market and the cathedral. It is a small hotel boutique with a very helpful staff always attentive of their guests. At our arrival, during the checking we were offered a testing of mezcal from the hotel own crafted... More

To start off my room door had swollen from moisture and didn't close unless you literally kicked the door shut, the same to try and open it from the outside. We had no running hot wáter except for one day. There was no A/C in the room except for a slowmoving fan. The bathroom smelled like sewer and as soon... More

My friend and I stayed in the beautiful garden suite, it was wonderfully quiet with super comfortable beds. The location couldn't have been better, it was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Was glad we hadn't chosen another hotel that was closer to the main church as it would have been too far from the markets and bus port.... More

Dear Beatrix It´s really beatifull when a guest just sees all the little details we work so hard on bringing to the sofisticated eye.
