The hotel is in a perfect location. It has character and a very warm, inviting decor. Rooms are comfortable, good size, clean and they have a coffeemaker. Used to prepared my cup of coffee and take it with me to the inside patio whilst reading my emails first thing in the morning, it makes you feel at home. Employees are... More

I just loved this hotel! The staff were probably the friendliest I have ever come across in a hotel. They were all just great. There is very little, if any, English spoken. Fortunately I could speak Spanish but I am not sure how you would get by if you don't speak Spanish, but they really try hard. Our room was... More

What a great little hotel ( 17 rooms) . Just returned from there . Its 2 blocks from the main square and surrounded by all kinds of restaurants, boutiques, bars/coffee places and the like. We stayed in room #4 and it was great. Big bathroom, air, etc. Food and staff went above and beyond. You can walk to the main... More

We stayed for a week in a courtyard room, #12. It was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Though it lacked a window (the street side windows have been blocked off), we didn't mind because of the very pleasant courtyard. Some details are not quite what we might have hoped -- wifi was spotty in our room and the cleaning staff seemed... More

Dear Mike, some of the challenges one faces when being instelled in a 19th century building is the very thick walls. This detail a side of making the location unique and historical blocks the wifi signal in some rooms, we are working on the solution for we want our guests to be as comfortable as possible. We thank your comment... More

Just returned from staying here and overall really liked the place and the people. The problem I had was in the little details. It's a very attractive, very conveniently located property, though there was some work going on which was noisy. I'd advise to stay away from room 1 because you have to cilmb so many steps and then the... More

Very dear Boca Ratón. We apologize for the inconvenience work we had to do on the back yard regarding the water pumping system that made some noise. We specifically chose a date in which we had less occupation to do the work and to send our manager Bernardo on an on intensive three day training on luxury hotel services. We... More

Excellent Hotel with unrivaled location in the center of Oaxaca. Chef is awesome, and so is the service. They made us feel at home with their hospitality, and solved all our questions and requests. Definitely going back!

This was a beautiful hotel with a great inner yard and very taken care of rooms. The location also very convenient not far from the zocalo. The minor downside was the fact that almost nobody in the hotel spoke english & they seem not to be really informed about where we could find food at 11pm , while we went... More

Perfectly situated, great experience, very nice and comfy rooms! The staff is very welcome, the ambiance suits Oaxaca very well. Also, you can ask and taste different types of Mezcal, this was a bonus experience and highly recomended, be sure to ask for this

Here in the staff we are very proud to show our oaxacan roots. Giving our costumers free mezcal tastings is only one of the many wonders we delight our guests with. We now count with many of the different living agave plants form wich our different mezcals are made out of, it´s called an “agavendum”. We´ll very pleased to drink... More

Our room was tucked up high off a crazy staircase, but was very roomy and clean. Felt very safe walking to the hotel and back at night, and the courtyard was a nice place for breakfast. The hotel was helpful in booking taxis and restaurants, but we struggled a bit in translation. Overall this was a surprisingly neat find in... More
