Lovely hotel in the heart of the action. Service was the best I have experienced in Mexico. Rooms a bit small and I agree with some previous posts that they are a wee bit noisy at times. However this is a real charm of a hotel and I would definitely recommend it.

The Casantica has a great location near the zocolo and pedestrian mall. The rooms were squeaky clean. We were there for the Day of the Dead Celebrations and the whole hotel was decorated to the hilt with a huge altar in the patio, a life sized Catrina in the doorway, and candles in every nook and cranny. Utterly charming. The... More

Having read some of the other reviews I can agree with some aspects. The rooms are not soundproof the whole place echoes but I love it. Im sat here on the balcony overlooking the pool can't hear much just a few voices distant traffic etc. Food is a little of a let down but I am with a group so... More

Hotel Casantica is well located within walking distance of restaurants and markets. Our standard room was large with two queen size dbl beds. We also had an in room coffee maker, unusual in Mexico. The bathroom was small but adequate, was well equipped with toiletries and had a good shower. The breakfast was adequate in the main but had really... More

This is a great hotel in a really good position . I looked around at a lot of hotels before deciding on this one and I was very pleased with my choice. Our family of 5 had a really nice suite with plenty of room . Everything was kept really clean too. My kids loved the pool and the food.... More

Booked in here three nights ago and love it. The hotel is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. It has a lively pool and waterfall. There is a lovely patio where you can have meals. Breakfast was included in price. Probably considered expensive, for the three of us it cost about A $160 a night.

Overall room was Ok. It is a well renovated old building. We bought a special package the hotel announced in its web page and when we arrived some terms were different. The webpage says one thing and then the confirmation email another. Also on most hotels free kids under 10 normally get breakfast free when you pay the room with... More

Staff was always very attentive. They were continuously cleaning and painting. Restaurant was pleasant and had great food. Walking distance to the Zocalo, shopping, marketplace and many restaurants. We were able to book all the tours at the front desk. Our room was perfect for two people, modest but with air conditioning and flat screen TV and was newly remodeled.... More

We loved this hotel; the courtyard, balconies and pool are great common areas. Our room was clean and simple, tucked away from the Main Street (very small window onto an air shaft?) This hotel was dog friendly so it could get noisy with many dogs staying.

Amazing location, clean, and friendly, I would consider staying there again, but it misses the mark in ways that you might want to be aware of. The Good: - Location: perfect. At a block and a half away from the Zocalo (the main square) and two short blocks from the pedestrian street, this hotel is ideally located. - Staff: friendly,... More
