We stayed 4 nights and it was very pleasant. Super quick check in, friendly staff and very clean! The only thing I would change is no a/c. It was bearable but uncomfortable at times. They do have ceiling fans which helped tremendously. Also if staying more than a day, a small fridge would be nice for drinks and such. Since... More

Stayed here for a week around Dios los Muertos. We wanted to be central and this was perfect. Just a block from the Zocala and the Mercado just up the road. Mind you anything close to the Zocala is handy. From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to help us and make our stay enjoyable.... More

A last minute booking so couldn't check it out before going there. Arrived in the evening and it didn't look quite as good as others I have stayed at here in Oaxaca. However the room was large more than enough space, although noisy from the outside life going on. It is an ok hotel, nothing fantastic and for one night... More

I travel to about 50 cities a year in Mexico and for the most part, I prefer a good location and customer service more than a sophisticated hotel with 5 star amenities. The location of this Hotel is great, just a few meters away from the Historic Heart of the city and typically, that is where you can find almost... More

I went to visit Oaxaca in May and stay at this hotel. Not having any idea of where to stay a taxi driver recommend this hotel and I was not disappointed! From the moment I was received by the receptionist I felt welcome! The room that I stayed in was good size, had two bed (only needed one) everything was... More

I stayed at La Casona for two nights this past weekend, and overall I was satisfied with the place. It’s a very cool old building in a great location in the heart of the city. The place is only two blocks from the Zocalo, and it’s an easy walk to just about everything in town. There are plenty of shops,... More

I chose this hotel due to the good previous reviews. It is only 2 blocks away from the Cathedral of Oaxaca City. There is a grocery store one block away (Oxxo) and one block away from a good drugstore (Farmacias del Ahorro). There is also an excellent french patisserie called Tartamiel, where we had breakfast everyday, it is also one... More
