This is one of the most wonderful places! The hospitality has been just wonderful! Suzanna, the owner of the hostal brings so much energy, fun and light to the hostal with her bubbly personality! On Christmas Eve all the guests had to make something to bring to supper, which created such a homey feel here! After the supper Suzanna decided... More

This is the place to be in Oaxaca. When we first arrived they were all booked up, but Susanna helped us find another hostel for the night. We got to sleep in Cielo Rojo the night after that. The 10 people dorm faces a very busy road so don't book that if you're a light sleeper (although I am one,... More

Cielo Rojo was good without being great. The location is great, and the main area was nice. Many of the beds had a few broken springs which stuck into you when trying to sleep. Breakfast was fine, toast, cereal, yogurt, tea and coffee.

We stayed in the 10 person dorm - although there were only 3 other people most of the time. The room was a good size, beds were decent. Had a couple of lockers in the room and a bathroom in the room, along with a small balcony. There were a few chill out areas which was nice (although couches/pool tablr... More

We stayed in a four person dorm. This place has basic dorms, nice common area with a kitchen. A few minutes from the center of the city and some great coffee shops. It's a solid option for budget travelers.

We stayed in the hostel's only private room. It was nice and large, with a reasonably comfortable bed, two tables, a lamp and a dresser. Location was great and easy walking distance from just about everything we wanted to do in the city. All the rooms face the courtyard and there are sometimes people drinking or playing music later at... More

Not too loud or too quiet. The beds weren't the best but the hostel was clean. Breakfast was basic but good. There is also a nice roof terrace. I also did the Mezcal tour while i was there, which is organized through the hostel.

the people who work here are amazing, super rad. stayed in the 10 person dorm that opened onto the street. if the doors were open the temperature was great but noisy, when closed very hot. the beds were quite hard and the pillow almost non existent. great vibe and energy- but as for sleeping... not the best. there are several... Stayed in a 4 person room with a friend. Great and helpful staff. Beautiful rooftop night view. The hostel has a lovely courtyard, a perfect vibe, and a location that cannot be beat. If back in Oaxaca, we would definitely stay again.

Very friendly staff, relaxed and chilled environment and nice and clean installations. Just a couple of blocks from Oaxaca´s city center. Stood there on a private room with my girl and the prices for private rooms are really cheap comparing to the near by hostels. Definitely recommend it
