we showed up with no reservation, and were treated to a comfortable, clean room, moments later. The door and one window face the courtyard, and the other faced the pool are so we have nice ventilation. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The two computers a welcome relief as my blackberry had no service! A delightful gem for two BFFs... More

Like most places in Oaxaca, the rooms are arranged around a courtyard. The problem is that sound carries and echos in the courtyard. We were on the first floor and stayed 2 nights. The first morning there was quite a bit of loud talking and laughing from the kitchen which woke us up around 7pm. There is a communal breakfast... More

Lovely little hotel, with all the basic things you need for a stay in Oaxaca, plus an incredibly warm and caring service and a small nice swimming pool. The rooms are 100% clean and quite comfortable, although the decoration is not exactly avant-garde. The value for your money is amazing, and a healthy balanced breakfast including eggs, cereals and fruits... More

Overall Casa de la Tia Tere is a decent choice to stay in Oaxaca. Service was excellent, the rooms were very clean and having a pool to come back to at the end of the day was nice. Bear in mind that most of the rooms have no windows that face the exterior, they only face the inner courtyard where... More

My wife and I spend a week at the adorable little Casa de la Tia Tere in Oaxaca. It's a few blocks (3) off the city center so it's much quieter. And it has a pool, we love that fact at about 4pm each day after hours of pounding the cobble stones, visiting museums and haggling our way through the... More

Casa de la Tia Tere was a really charming inn with a lovely courtyard, great pool, clean rooms. It's a really good value too considering that our rate included breakfast. The women that we met that ran the place and cooked breakfast were all extremely nice. Breakfasts were nothing fancy, but they will make you eggs if you like. The... More

i squeezed in a reservation for the last available room during Day of the Dead celebrations. the hotel was immaculately clean, but the rooms are quite small. the location is about 6-7 blocks from the zocalo and cathedrals. a little out of the way, but very quiet and calm at night. breakfast was fine - fruit, bread, coffee, juice, yogurt,... Casa de la Tia Tere is immaculately clean, the beds are comfortable and the rooms beautifully decorated. There is a beautiful swimming pool and all the rooms surround a lovely, bright central courtyard. Breakfast is continental as well as the choice of eggs and is much better than many other hotels. But it is the beautiful ladies here who make... More

I stayed here 3 nights and was very comfortable. You can help yourself to tea & coffee in the kitchen any time of day. There is a fridge available so guests can store their snacks. The pool was relaxing & the room was decent. There are also 2 computers with internet access. The staff is very friendly & I would... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location, just a 5 minute walk from the Zocalo and in a really safe and smart neighborhood. The hotel has a real family atmosphere and the service provided by the staff was excellent. We looked forward to our breakfast everyday, especially the... More
