We spent a week here in January and couldn't have been more pleased. Room was large and nicely appointed with excellent water pressure, and there was consistent strong WIFI throughout the property. Lovely courtyard right outside our room with coffee provided each morning and a nice B/L restaurant attached to the hotel. 4 blocks to the Zocalo and all of... More

Came alone to spend a week exploring Oaxaca and couldn't have been more pleased. Lovely room with private bathroom; the courtyard is so charming, and the rooftop terraces have great cityscapes. The staff was uniformly authentically friendly and helpful.

We stayed at La Posada for a week in early January, the hotel arranged for a week long conference in Oaxaca. The courtyards are lovely and the staff helpful. Rooms are in need of update and better care. There is a small cafe attached to the hotel that provides good coffee and desayunos and comidas. The location is good, just... More

We stayed here for about a week. This is a pleasant place, centrally located near museums, the Noviembre and Juarez markets, the zocalo, etc. The posada has a beautiful courtyard, flowers, birds, nice patios on the second floor, with views. You want a room not on the avenue (noise), probably on the second floor for better ventilation. Multiple kinds of... More

We stayed for four nights and five days in this posada, which is lovely , very Mexican and in the center of Oaxaca. The problem is that the rooms are located around a patio and the reception. On the entrance there is a sign that says: be quiet from 7:00 to 9:00 . But the same staff are terribly loud... More

A great budget place to stay in the center of town, just a few blocks from the Zocalo. One thing to point out, it's located north of the Zocalo, which is a much nicer part of town than immediately south of the Zocalo, which is where we stayed our first night in Oaxaca City. The streets here are much cleaner,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of town. The courtyard is beautiful and the rooms are dark and cool. We had a double room with shared bathroom, both of which were very clean. The beds get made daily. It did get a little noisy one evening with the door bell... More

The hotel is nice, and can also be considered a hostel. You can either get a room with a private bathroom or a much cheaper room that you use the shared bathroom in the commons area. The bathroom was clean for the most part, but a bit awkward walking from the shower in a towel through the courtyard.

This is a small, quaint Posada a couple of blocks from the center of town. The rooms have a typical Mexican flair and are very clean. The staff is very helpful in giving us directions and helping us schedule tours. They also have a small restaurant which had delicious authentic Oaxaca food as well as omlettes and American breakfasts, good... More

This is an awesome hotel at a great price right in the center of Oaxaca (three blocks from the Zocalo) situated in a historical building with two courtyards with fountains filled with trees, flowers (potted and cut fresh in vases), nice tables and benches. Our room (two beds, No. 22) was recently remodeled with nice furniture, tasteful wall and other... More
