My husband and I stayed at Encanto Jalatlaco for 4 nights in March 09 in the "Carolina" room. Spotlessly clean, great breakfasts, very helpful hostess (Maria). The Jalatlaco neighborhood may be a bit farther from the center of things but it's quiet. more

Our first choice of B&B in Oaxaca was La Casa de Mis Recuerdos, and we were disappointed that it was not available. But, we decided to try another of the B&Bs that is part of the Mis Recuerdos group, La Estancia de Valencia. Our stay there for 7 days was wonderful. The host, Lorena, and her staff were friendly, helpful,... more

I guess i expected more from this B & B after reading all the reviews. they had asked us what room we wanted when we reserved our time and then we got there and they said that room was not available but they would give us one similiar. Then they thought they would move us to another room three days... more

La Casa de Mis Recuerdos has three B&B's in Oaxaca. We stayed at Estancia de Valencia for four nights in the Granate room. http://www.misrecuerdos.net/Estancia%20Room%20Rates.htm Positives: - small, intimate, with only three rooms - nice living room and courtyards for relaxing - close to the Cathedral and pedestrian area - great breakfasts - friendly host/hostesses - good recommedations provided on restaurants... more

What an amazing B&B! We have been to many B&Bs and this one rates highest for us. First of all: the food!!! Every breakfast was fastastic. Each dish was traditional. In fact, we seldom had lunch because we were still full from breakfast! Even the breads were amazing. We stayed in room Mamey and my in-laws in Azul. I liked... more

This was our 6th trip to Oaxaca returning after a hiatus of almost eight years. La Casa de Mis Recuerdos is still as fantastic as ever, it was wonderful seeing our hosts Nora, William and Nora’s parents Conchita and Moises and enjoying the peace and solitude of their home in Oaxaca. It’s difficult to add much to the other 5... more

We spent 5 nights in February at this charming little haven in a busy Oaxaca neighborhood, within easy walking distance to all the central areas of the city. The enclosed courtyard in the center is colorful, well furnished and inviting. The family who owns and runs the inn make you feel cared for and comfortable. The senora bakes wonderful breads,... more

For an American visiting Mexico for the first time or if it has been awhile, it is quite necessary to find a refuge from the inevitable shock to the senses that will come. We couldnt have been happier with our choice of La Casa de Mis Recuerdos. So tranquil, such attention to our needs, such excellent service! I have never... more

What a wonderful experience staying in Oaxaca was! Nora and William made us feel at home immediately in their lovely B&B where we stayed for a week. Centrally located in downtown Oaxaca, virtually everything was available with just a short walk. Each breakfast was a wonderful culinary treat attractively served. Nora, our hostess, provided an all day cooking class in... more
