Bugambilias is Spanish for bourganvillas, the pretty, vibrantly colored flowers that overhang the entryway to this wonderful, family-run B&B located in the heart of Oaxaca's historic downtown. My thoughtfully appointed room had a comfy bed and other welcome amenities. Each morning's sublime breakfasts planned by a master chef and executed by her skillful staff, featured fresh juices, fresh fruit, yogurt... More

A beautiful guesthouse, with an amazing location. Very close to the restaurants and centre of town. However, we didn't hear any noise and slept really well. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The highlight was breakfast where the staff are incredibly friendly and food is delicious. Great value as well. I would definitely recommend this. Thank you so much... More

Charming guesthouse, very centrally located with clean and colourful bedrooms. We had one of the smaller rooms and it was perfectly adequate for a couple, particularly as we did not expect to spend much time in the room itself. Adriana was very flexible with our skipping a night while we went into the hills and the breakfasts are indeed superb... More

This places just seems to attract relaxed and friendly types. I really enjoyed the chat over breakfast as a start to each day and enjoyed dinner with a splendid trio of Californian ladies on my last night. The breakfast is light, but delicious, with freshly squeezed juices and freshly cooked food. You can help yourself to as much bottled water... More

This small and comfortable B&B offers wonderful accimadations along with excellent Breakfast. Located in the heart of Oaxaca and it's tourist attractions. Excellent restaurants are nearby. They have the ability to provide guided tours with Renee Cabrera Arroyo. A very knowledgable English speaking guide.

After a 1st stay in March 2014 as a solo traveller, I was happy to be back at Casa de las Bugambilias, this time with my husband to experience "semana santa" in Oaxaca. A long journey from Belgium, but so wonderful to be back in this lovely place. I would once again definitely highly, highly recommend staying at Bugambilias if... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa de Las Bugambilias for six nights during our honeymoon, and we loved every moment of it. To cut to the chase: stay here if you're looking for a wonderful place in the heart of Oaxaca! We split our stays between two rooms: Margarita and Iris. Both rooms were extremely clean, had AC (a... Casa de las Bugambilias is a surprisingly delightful experience. Little effort to travel from the airport and the staff is warm and welcoming. It is centrally located with a number of important Oaxaca (centro) sites within walking distance. Breakfast is always a culinary delight and artistically delivered. We would stay again without question. We met three other couples and were... More

A very pleasant, well located and friendly place. Excellent local breakfast plus standard coffee, juices etc with very obliging staff included. Great decorations, pleasant courtyard (our room - Margaritas- overlooked it) and the on-site restaurant, owned by the same extended family, served excellent, well presented dishes (loved the strawberry any goat cheese salad).

We stayed at Las Bugambilias for 5 nights and then 2 nights in the Cabrera family's other property, Los Milagros. Both are wonderful. Las Bugambilias is located near the Ethnobotanical Gardens and church of Santo Domingo. Built around a shady central courtyard, the property includes an excellent restaurant, La Olla, a cheerful and well-appointed breakfast room, and the bedrooms. Our... More
