Place was well situated and has parking facilities next door. We stayed in ground floor room, furthest from hotel lobby. No wifi in room. Mouldy/damp smell. When using shower, we didn't close the door and water made it's way into bathroom. To the point I thought upstairs had a massive leak. Once I realised it was from the shower room,... More

Hotel Dainzu is a perfectly situated hotel in the beautiful colonial city of Oaxaca. The staff are very friendly, although admittedly not proefficient in English. However, their all encompassing wi fi is quick to fix that! The internal court yard of the hotel is beautiful, however it comes with one major drawback. We stayed a total of 4 nights. 645 pesos a night or 50 bucks. Good clean rooms. Our room was located on street side. A bit noisy. The windows were nice. Double pane glass. You can smell the exhaust from street if you have window open. WIFI is off and on from the bed. The concrete structures effect the signals.... More

Good Points: Newer Hotel, Nice Staff, Clean, Fab Location Not Good: Horrible noise from our bathroom door made earplugs a MUST (oiling the hinges did nothing). No Restaurant, so you must walk at least a couple of blocks to find breakfast or coffee. Staff not overly trained or knowledgeable about where to catch buses etc.

The hotel seems to be new, or completly renovated not long ago. But, like almost everywhere in Latinamrican countries, nobody cares for details, like curtains tared down partly. Would be easy and would only take 5 minutes to hang them correctly again so they would close properly. But... nobody cares. Also the doors that make a hell of noice when... More
