We booked the villa after looking for a place with a kitchen since we are travelling with a baby. Notice that villavera offers different kindsvof accomodations and this review refers to the villa that isnt located where the hotel is located. The villa is very high standart, the beds are very comfortable, everything is clean, and the service is superb.... More

This is a tiny hotel very close to everything Oaxaca has to offer. The rooms vary in size - we moved from the second floor small room to a much larger downstairs room. There is a small interior courtyard with tables and a wonderful patio on the second floor where one can sit and read or have a meal. Warm... More

What saves this place is the staff very willing to please. Room size ok but NO DRAWERS!!! Only a place to hang clothes with not enough hangers. Dark rooms, furniture ok but poorly chosen. Had a sofa which we never used, would have preferred a CHEST OF DRAWERS instead. Clothes we could not hang ended up all over the room:... More

Super small hotel/timeshare. In the city centre but very peaceful and safe. Great service, clean and friendly. We loved it here.

I stayed with my husband and his parents. We had a blast. We did everything we could, from shopping at the zocalo to eating at the marketa to watching a film at a nearby theatre to visiting museums and taking the guided tour of Oaxaca and its surrounding areas. The room was much smaller than we expected. Our queen size... More

This small hotel had a few pluses and several minuses. The pluses: 1. The hotel was clean 2. It was near the zocolo[town center] We could walk to almost everything. 3. The staff was courteous and usually helpful. The minuses. 1. Our room-no. 104 was very small. It had a king sized bed that took up almost the whole room.... More

A friend and I went to Oaxaca to study Spanish for two weeks. The master suite (large room at the front of the two story 7 room hotel) was perfect for us. Much larger than the average hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. They recommended a charming and knowledgeable guide whom we engaged for all... More

The staff is gentle, helpful, always quick to answer your questions. We were trying to conserve water and didn't want our towels washed every day. Every day the maid would decorate our towels with the most intricate, beautiful animal shapes with flowers and place them on our bed - very romantic! I loved that the hotel only had 8 rooms... More

My wife and I and two friends stayed at this Hostal from 07/15 to 07/22 this year in the hopes of seeing the Guelaguetza , a staff member even bought tickets for us but the event was cancelled due to the strike of the teacher's etc , despite that the resort ensured we went on great tours and were always... I stayed there for 3 nights and it is lovely. It is an old house totally renewed and the rooms are charming, they reflect the atmosphere of Oaxaca some centuries ago. Is is located 5 blocks from the main square and in general it is in a walking distance of the main atractions of Oaxaca. We stayed there in November... More
