I had come here eleven years ago with my now wife. I returned this weekend. Casa Oaxaca is an oasis wrapped in a paradise, inside an eden, to paraphrase Churchill. Casa Oaxaca's service is superb--the staff went as far as to put a deposit down on the local mushroom festival with their own cash before I arrived. The hotel's courtyard... More

We LOVED Casa Oaxaca and wished we could stay longer. The room (master suite) was excellent. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. The food was outstanding. It is surely the best hotel in town and worth every penny of the high price. I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in June for 4 nights and the service was great, you can have massages in your room just book a day in advance. We also tried the Temazcal, this you must ask for at least a day in advance it´s a great experience it does get really hot if you like saunas you will like it. The breakfast... More

Very nice building, great service and staff, it feels like home, definetely recommend. The sleep quality is great no noise or louds sounds pretty relaxing, you can find good city tours in the lobby area.

Very charming building with good, attentive staff. A very contrasting experience when staying here compared to the chain hotels - service is very personal. The courtyard is fantastic and the staff have nice music playing. Their sister (?) restaurant is VERY GOOD - probably the best meal we had in Mexico.

This hotel was originally an old colonial house so I found the rooms to be a bit quirky but charming. Most of them open toward a beatiful courtyard where tables are set up for dining. The suite where I stayed was spacious with several large windows looking out toward the courtyard. You could hear other guests having dinner but once... More

Casa Oaxaca is intimate (9rooms) without being intrusive, authentic without being rugged. Rooms are lovely. Think Architectural Digest Oaxaca-style. Consistent with the town, Casa Oaxaca is filled with color and architectural interest. Staff are impressively professional and kind. They do a superb job of figuring out who you are -- not only in name but also interests. Rachel's suggestions for... More

We just returned from a week in Oaxaca, and stayed at two different hotels - Casa Oaxaca was superior by far, and seems to be one of the city's best. As in most of the colonial buildings in town, the rooms open onto a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served, and where a small bar serves drinks in the evening.... More

We stayed at 3 different hotels while traveling around Oaxaca...the Fiesta Inn by the airport and Hotel Boutique de La Parra, I'll review those as well but Casa Oaxaca was by far the best. It is a few blocks from the zocola or San Domingo church so great location but not crazy busy. You enter off the street by ringing... More
