We went to Casa Oaxaca for dinner and had a great meal on the hotel's rooftop! At first the beautiful setting was hard to enjoy because of a noisy little brat but the waiter showed us another table and with the relief we felt came the pleasure to taste delicious Mexican food in a romantic place. I loved when the... More

Alejandro Ruiz led us on a cooking class. It was EPIC. We had such a unique and wonderful experience at the market and in his kitchen. It was the highlight of our trip to Oaxaca and is not to be missed. You couldn't meet a more interesting, kind and generous chef with such a wonderful perspective. What a wonderful afternoon.... Only positive things to say about this hotel. Building, rooms, service, food, massage, pool, cocktails - all exactly as you'd want them to be and often exceeding expectations. for instance: Breakfast is served a la carte in a courtyard around a pomegranate tree and will be some of the best and most authentic food you'll have during your stay in... I would have to say it is awful, dirty, with disgusting food and service... To make sure I have room next time.. But, to be honest, it is truly amazing.. Simple, pure, beautiful.. Will come back for sure. The best hotel for sure in Oaxaca Enjoy !

Some of the most creative and delicious cuisine we've eaten anywhere. The rooftop dining was exquisite, although the low light from the luminaries made it difficult to read the menu, or to fully enjoy the beautiful plating. Ultimately, the overall experience was so good, we returned for a second rooftop dining experience, during our week in Oaxaca. We can highly... More

The food at Casa Oaxaca is a modern and refined interpretation of traditional Oaxaca cuisine. We had 2 starters: a crispy duck taco which was excellent, the fondant duck meat contrasting nicely with the crispy exterior and a very weird ceviche, very large chunks of tough fish plated together with big pieces of fruits, the whole covered in a far... My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Oaxaca for two nights/3 days. I am from the US (living in Mexico for 11 years) and my husband is mexican. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, even thought they were booked for the first part of our trip and we liked our other hotel, this one was really... More

Last month we stayed for 8 days at Casa Oaxaca. What a wonderful experience. Our room(junior suite) was large and lovely. We liked being right adjacent to the courtyard with the ability to go to breakfast so easily. The breakfasts are so sumptuous that we became twice a day eaters.....no need for lunch after such a wonderful start. The food... More

Having visited at least a half a dozen times in the past few years the wonderful city of Oaxaca, I must say that this last trip was the most enjoyable of all. One block away from the magnificent Santo Domingo plaza, Hotel Casa Oaxaca has the best layout and service of any boutique hotel in town. Surrounded by excellent restaurants,... More

Food was great, the grounds beautiful, staff very helpful but the pool was dirty. When we were there, a family with couples and lots of children were in residence also and so the noise level for meals and relaxing was awful. Not the hotels problem and the hotel apologized over and over. I would stay again.
