Casa Oaxaca is intimate (9rooms) without being intrusive, authentic without being rugged. Rooms are lovely. Think Architectural Digest Oaxaca-style. Consistent with the town, Casa Oaxaca is filled with color and architectural interest. Staff are impressively professional and kind. They do a superb job of figuring out who you are -- not only in name but also interests. Rachel's suggestions for... More

We just returned from a week in Oaxaca, and stayed at two different hotels - Casa Oaxaca was superior by far, and seems to be one of the city's best. As in most of the colonial buildings in town, the rooms open onto a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served, and where a small bar serves drinks in the evening.... More

We stayed at 3 different hotels while traveling around Oaxaca...the Fiesta Inn by the airport and Hotel Boutique de La Parra, I'll review those as well but Casa Oaxaca was by far the best. It is a few blocks from the zocola or San Domingo church so great location but not crazy busy. You enter off the street by ringing... More

This is an amazing hotel. What sets it apart is how friendly the staff is (they are very helpful and responsive as well) and the great food they served here even though there is a small number of rooms. We looked forward to our morning breakfast and pre dinner Mescal in their lovely courtyard everyday. We were here for Christmas... More

My husband and I were married here in October 2012, just before Day of the Dead. Our overall experience was in a word, amazing. We returned this past October for our anniversary and were so pleased to see all our old "friends" still working there. The hotel is intimate, clean and has many personal touches. The staff there is really... More

We returned to the Casa Oaxaca after a five year absence and were delighted to find that everything was as good or better than we remembered. Same comfortable rooms, gracious staff and wonderful food. The great reviews that this hotel consistently receives from reviewers are completely justified in our opinion. Since we saw a lot of Oaxaca's sights on our... More

Stayed for 4 days at Casa Oaxaca Hotel. Lovely hotel with kind helpful staff. Spacious clean room and spotless bathroom. Did the cooking class with Rafael and Rachel which produced one of the finest meals I've had in years---anywhere! If you go to Oaxaca go to Hotel Casa Oaxaca it's that simple!

Only seven premium units, but full services including restaurant, bar and spa. Outstanding service at a relatively reasonable price (includes full breakfast ordered and served in the center court) for a centrally located boutique hotel. We stayed four nights. The attentive well trained (English speaking) and courteous staff provided service as if you were the only guest at this posada.

Lovely anniversary in this charming boutique hotel. Gourmet food, good location, nice room, but the best of this hotel is the service! All the staff were so helpful, friendly and committed to make your stay so pleasant. I would definitely come back.
