Stayed at Casa Oaxaca for 2 nights in January,2010 and I heartily recommend it. The hotel itself appears to be recently renovated with marble bathrooms, stone floors and minimal but unmistakably Mexican flavor. The employees are very courteous, warm and helpful and the location is 5 minutes from the Zocolo. As a solo traveler I couldn't have felt more comfortable. more

My husband and I had a very bad experience of staying at this hotel. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in September 2009. Basically, after we had booked our room at the hotel the hotel manager decided to arrange a large food festival based at the hotel during the period of our stay. When we arrived, we were... more

My husband and I went to Oaxaca for our babymoon (I am five months pregnant). The staff was very friendly and made us feel instantly welcomed. We stayed in room #1 (the least expensive room) for 2 nights and then transferred to one of the upstairs rooms for one extra night as room #1 was reserved. We liked both rooms,... more

A wonderful little place in the middle of oaxaca center. Its not the typical mexican style B&B as the decor and the patio are more on the minimalist side (lots of white, none of the colourful typical mexican style). But its very thoughtfully done and feels like a wonderful oasis to come home to, lots of trees and plats too.... more

Casa Oaxaca is a new hotel, with very good taste in their decoration, and a VERY good restaurant - delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner - the chef for the restaurant Casa Oaxaca and the restaurant of the hotel Casa Oaxaca (two different locations) is the same, and he is excellent! My parents stayed in a smaller junior suite (room #... more

Lovely hotel, sort of stark modern Mexican, but lovely. Very quiet - ask for a room in the back. Hotel stay included anything off the menu for breakfast. Great fresh juices, eggs, freshly baked breads. Wonderful dinner menu. Friendly staff. more

Casa Oaxaca was the perfect oasis for our time in Oaxaca. My wife and I spent the first 5 nights of our Mexican honeymoon in Oaxaca. We selected the city of Oaxaca for its unique and lively culture, foods, art, markets, and independent streak that give it such a great reputation and fun time for all those who visit. It... more

This is one of the coolest places I have visited so far. In fact, I am thinking about coming back to Oaxaca just to visit this hotel again. I was not so fond of Oaxaca itself. Although it is a nice Mexican town which is relatively save, the bad economic situation is quite visible there everywhere, which gave me a... more

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in February. We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight from JFK. We were immediately allowed to check into our gorgeous room and Agustín even treated us to a cup of hot cocoa. The room was spotless and spacious. Often, hotels do not provide all promised amenities, but at... more
