We stayed at El Secreto B & B in Oaxaca and found it excellent. We felt as though we were at home. It is modern, extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. Our room led onto a little private patio. Its location is perfect for enjoying Oaxaca. Our son joined us for the last night and he thought it was the... More

This is a lovely modern B&B in the center of Oaxaca. Local art mixed with modern amenities. The 3 rooms are on the ground floor at the back of the house which makes them very quiet and easy to access. We stayed in Azalea which has a private patio and would be the perfect choice for a romantic stay. The... More

El Secreto was so welcoming and refreshing the moment we walked in the door, even though it was almost midnight when we arrived! Filiberto and David were at our every beck and call, even though we never really had to bug them for anything because all of our needs were met and exceeded. Cecilia and Cristina made us wonderful breakfasts... More

I stayed at El Secreto for seven days in February and had a lovely time! The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms are beautiful, and the location is perfect! You can't beat the free WI-FI and free international and local calls. Close walking distance to everyhting in the city paired with friendly management! I highly recommend!

El secreto was incredible! This was my first trip to Mexico by myslef but the staff at El Secreto made me feel like family. I can't say enough about the charming beauty of this modern B&B. I stayed in azaleas and dalia, two rooms during my visit (because the one i wanted was booked for my 1st night) and both... More

El Secreto is in a great location- walking distance from downtown and all of the good restaurants. With only a few rooms, its a very intimate experience and you don't have to worry about anyone bothering you while you are there. The breakfasts are made fresh every morning with juice, tea, coffee, fruit and a main dish. I plan to... More

We felt like we had our own house in Oaxaca. Beautiful spaces, delicious breakfast, great location. Filiberto was extremely helpful, even making air reservations fro going to the coast. Only complaint was street noise as well as kitchen noise (loved the fresh squeezed juice but not the sound effects early in the morning).

Despite our late-night arrival, we were graciously greeted at the door by Cecilia whom we saw again the next morning cooking and serving our delicious breakfast. El Secreto is a little gem, centrally located, beautifully decorated, and, most importantly, staffed by genuinely hospitable people who were there to make sure our visit was the best it could be. We appreciated... More

First let me say that the staff at El Secreto or las Bugambilias have mastered the art of making sure you have a great vacation!! It was a pleasure to be with people that enjoyed what they did, had pride in their jobs and business and loved the city of Oaxaca and made sure you would too! El Secreto is... More

From the moment you close the door of the entrance to El Secreto you feel as if you have stepped into someone's home that is artistically designed and decorated, yet welcoming and comfortable.Splashes of colour are added with vases of fresh flowers from the owner's garden combined with indoor and outdoor plants. There is plenty of natural light and the... More
