I thoroughly enjoyed the owners and staff at this adorable B and B. It is a great place to relax away from the noise of the city, and the meals are stunning in presentation and flavor. I was disappointed in the fact that you have to pay in cash, and didn't expect this when I booked. Also, since this is... More

My partner and I made a last minute reservation at this fantastic BnB. From the first moment the staff was so friendly and welcoming, catering to both of our dietary restrictions with no problem. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our week-long vacation. Although pricey in comparison to other locations, you really get what you pay... More

We made reservations late for Las Bugambilias and were not able to stay there for our entire stay so they offered us a room at their sister inn El Secreto. It is a small, charming inn just down the street. Our room was clean, well decorated, and had a small patio with access to a rooftop terrace. We shared the... More

Having tried to book their bigger sister hotel Las Bugambillias but finding it full, we were offered the last room here, so we needed up with the smallest of the rooms. I am so glad we got here. It's a little oasis in the nicest part of town, basically staying in what was someones house with well decorated en suite... More

Our stay at El Secreto exceeded all our expectations! Conveniently located from all the major sites, El Secreto is a relaxing oasis after a full day of site-seeing and eating. El Secreto is a three bedroom B&B and has a beautiful rooftop deck with a fire pit and plenty of lighting to relax through the evening. The tasteful décor adds... More

We stayed at this wonderful B & B during the week of Dia De Los Muertos. The service was warm, sincere, and just all around wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet and serene spot, this is it. El Secreto is walking distance to the center of town, as well as Santo Domingo, and the main Avenue that takes... More

We stayed at El Secreto this past weekend and had an excellent time. Valentina, Ceci, and Juan prepared a great breakfast and helped us out with any questions we had. Highly recommended and located right at the center of Oaxaca.

El Secreto is truly a little secret hide-away in Oaxaca. The perfect location made it easy to get to attractions, markets, the Zocalo, many local shops and restaurants within an easy walk. The host, Amelia and her family and excellent staff made us feel welcome. The breakfasts, which we had at Bugambilias, were beautifully presented using fresh ingredients and delicious.... More

My wife and I have visited Oaxaca three times, this last time for our longest stay. We were fortunate to have a room in El Secreto, as the rooms are much in demand. Our room was the smallest of three, but very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the rain shower very much, as well as the large screened door... More

We have stayed at las Bugambilias before but it was full when we visited in October so we stayed at el Secreto this trip. Because there are only 3 rooms, you feel like you are in your own lovely home with super attentive service, terrific food, and a lovely staff. Bravo to el Secreto!
