It's new. It's stylish. It's incredibly noisy and terribly small. Well located in the heart of Oaxaca, the biggest drawback about this property is the fact that they have vents on their doors which means every whisper, shout and greeting in the courtyard below gets amplified and hits your ear. Not to mention every door opening, closing or slamming shut.... More

We spent 7 nights at Hotel Abu which was selected by our host and based on some previous reviews were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and service. While the rooms are not huge, the beds are very comfortable, closet was very adequate and the bath had a good size shower. The breakfast buffet was always plentiful with fresh fruit,... More

I usually suggest that before making a decision based on Trip Advisor, that one carefully read several reviews and make an educated decision. However, in this ONE case....there is no need to read any other review. The rooms are miniscule. They resemble the interior stateroom on an old cruise ship. The rooms have no character.....no Mexican charm. They are sterile....no... More

I was here for Day of the Dead and it was close to a lot of the holiday activities and to the Zocalo. One of the biggest drawbacks was the noise. I expect a city to be noisy, but here the noise was coming from INSIDE the hotel. The first night, it sounded like someone was power-washing the lobby every... More

Yes, in good location near downtown, but rooms extremely compact, including bathrooms/showers. Extremely noisy due to the structure of the building...can even hear guests arriving or departing. There is no hair dryer/iron/complimentary coffee, etc.. It lacks many complimentary items that other hotels in Oaxaca will automatically include during your stay...and yes, pricey too!! Definitely will not stay under this environment... More

Hotel Abu is in a great location, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel is kept very clean. The shampoo, hand cream, soap, and a small water bottle are complimentary - but a slightly larger water bottle with the number 30 printed on the cap is not free. The 30 on the cap indicates that it costs 30 pesos ($2.40).... More

My wife and I went to Oaxaca for our anniversary...booked this hotel based on your reviews and the price. I can tell you that the Location is more than perfect...everything is 3 blocks away. The only "con" with this hotel is that the rooms have vents in the windows so you basically hear everything like it is inside your room...our... More

Abu hotel has an excellent location in the city center. This street connects you with most of the points of interest in the city. The room was absolutely clean, but with a little musty odor. The personnel at the front desk provide information in case you need it. Very quiet at night to sleep.Wi- Fi is free.

The hotel is located in downtown Oaxaca... just in the middle of the two most important points : Zocalo & Sto Domingo. Very clean hotel, great service although a little bit expensive. a little noisy when other guest arrive to their rooms (hallways) but if you don't mind a little bit of noise, this is perfect for you.

Beautiful building, central location, helpful staff. It's lovely, it's modern (with up-to-date bathrooms) but has the courtyard architecture. I stayed with a small group and we all enjoyed the accommodations for the most part. Would I stay there again? Yes and no... Yes if I needed a nice, clean hotel room with no surprises and didn't care about the price.... More
