This hotel was pretty mediocre. The rooms are a decent size but the bed linen, towels etc. are well used and dated. We stayed a week and did not get fresh sheets once, though the towels were changed daily. The staff were not very friendly however they speak little if no English. The big let down was that we did... My wife and I stayed in this beautiful converted convent last month for four night and I must say it was a true pleasure, the staff were very professional at their jobs. The building exuded so much history and warmth. Being in the center of town has its own benefits. The food was a class above and the service matched.... More

This is at the top range of a three rating. I stayed for 1 night, but did not stay for breakfast as my flight was to early for this. The venue is a fairly central location, within a 5-10 minute walk from the centre. It has a nice outward facing area to the street. The swimming pool looked very clean,... More

I felt very comfortable staying at Hotel Oaxaca Real. I had been in the city a few days earlier and popped in to make a reservation. The staff speaks very good English and I was assured that they would help me with an early-morning taxi to the airport. When it came to check in, my chauffeur-friend could not drive me... More

We stayed here for 6 wonderful nites. The staff (both hotel and restraurant) are gracious, kind and helpful. We were treated as family. The hotel is lovely and the restaurant is home. Oh, and this hotel is convenient to everywhere!

Just walk out the hotel and any direction you walk, you will find places to see and visit or just walk on the folkloric Oaxacan cute streets. If it gets hot, just feel free to jump into the cool pool! You've got to try their butter at their restaurant!

Stayed here on a Saturday night in early August. Really enjoyed the food, music, markets and walks around the cobblestone streets of Oaxaca. Wherever we went we were walking distance to the hotel. Stayed out late and the night porter let us in no problem. Great nightlife from salsa clubs to rooftop bars. No need to spend time in hotel... More

I stayed on the ground floor near the desk which is not the quietest of areas but I slept well. The room was clean and the front desk people were both friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a near-perfect location. It is a safe area of town with access to all of the major tourists spots within an easy... More

We had reservations for this hotel for December 2013. Our flights were cancelled, I contacted booking.com and as they were non cancel able, I wanted to see if hotel would honor hen our flights resumed. I was told Juan at hotel stated No. Received additional call and was told yes they would honor. Unfortunately, now the hotel does not respond... More

The hotel is a few blocks from the Zocalo and the Andador pedestrian street. The building has a nice colonial feel. The hotel has a small pool, but it's unheated and was very cold when we visited in late March. Fortunately the Quinta Real hotel let us use their pool for MX$350 for adults and MX$150 for kids. Our room's... More
