Stayed here on a Saturday night in early August. Really enjoyed the food, music, markets and walks around the cobblestone streets of Oaxaca. Wherever we went we were walking distance to the hotel. Stayed out late and the night porter let us in no problem. Great nightlife from salsa clubs to rooftop bars. No need to spend time in hotel... More

I stayed on the ground floor near the desk which is not the quietest of areas but I slept well. The room was clean and the front desk people were both friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a near-perfect location. It is a safe area of town with access to all of the major tourists spots within an easy... More

We had reservations for this hotel for December 2013. Our flights were cancelled, I contacted booking.com and as they were non cancel able, I wanted to see if hotel would honor hen our flights resumed. I was told Juan at hotel stated No. Received additional call and was told yes they would honor. Unfortunately, now the hotel does not respond... More

The hotel is a few blocks from the Zocalo and the Andador pedestrian street. The building has a nice colonial feel. The hotel has a small pool, but it's unheated and was very cold when we visited in late March. Fortunately the Quinta Real hotel let us use their pool for MX$350 for adults and MX$150 for kids. Our room's... More

We stayed 2 nights with our group of 30 passengers from Scandinavia. The location is good near the Zogalo. The hotel is nice but a little bit aged. The WC and toilet room had some old-fashioned solutions. There was very limited space for your clothes. They had to be kept in your suitcase. No proper ventilation in the room, the... More

Very nice, clean hotel. Swimming pool not heated and did not get much sun so water very cold Friendly staff however close proximity to parking garage next door can make for some very noisy nights with people coming and going and talking loudly.

This is really and average aging hotel that is kept very clean, It has a small pool and the hotel itself is in a colonial building, what truly stands out is it's location 3 short blocks to the zocalo and 1 block to the pedestrian alcala can't be beat especially in a walking city. It's a bit noisy and the friendly... This is a very beautiful hotel that gives you the real feeling of a fine traditional hotel. We left the way more expensive sleek and modern Holiday inn to stay here. The Oaxaca Real has their own restaurant that is also open to the public. It has wonderful authentic Oaxacan comida. You can ask for a special discount and they... More

We spent 3 night there, it is a nice hotel close to downtown, one block from touristic walk area, close to Santo Domingo Convent and also from Zocalo. It is not a fancy hotel but it has an excellent location. We really had a good time there.
