We visited Oaxaca for the first time and this is the second hotel we lodged in. The first was a hit. That made this one a bit "blah". The hotel was well-located, away from the business of downtown, but within a comfortable walking distance of the action. It was clean, simply furnished and the service was basic. Beware of the... We arrived early in the morning and the friendly guy at reception was able to offer us an early check in, which was great. The rooms are set on 2 levels around a courtyard, and the place is very attractive, oozing character and charm. The room was nice enough, but a few little niggles: the shower had very poor water... After spending an awful night at Trebol Hotel we decided to book another hotel, and that was the one we decided to book. We did a really early check in, at 9h so was just great....normally you have problems always to do early check ins. Of course, I guess, just a few rooms were available so I could not choose... More

There are many hotels like this and they all suffer from being bland and noisy -- it is on a main bus route and mexican buses are very noisy. Rooms are average , bathrooms old and lack maintenance , service is indifferent . The restaurant is good value and quality of basic menu options . Aircon did not work and... More

This hotel has a good value for your money, its clean and well kept. But it is old, has low light and not a very nice staff. They are "just there" not very helpful or trained. The sleep quality is very good, not a noice but the morning birds. The restaurant is regular,

Can't speak for the hotel, but I recommend this restaurant. Good-quality Italian food, upscale atmosphere, and, unlike some other Oaxaca restaurants, not overpriced.

Clean, quiet rooms and a decent location for not a lot of money. I stayed for a week. Air conditioning is minimal, hot water varies by the hour, the blinking alarm clock was never reset and a burnt out bulb in the bathroom wasn't replaced. Don't expect most of the friendly staff to speak English. Just small blemishes that won't... More

We stayed at the Best Western for our final night in Oaxaca. It was a nice option but probably over priced for what we got. We struggled to keep the lights on because the switch was iffy, but I attribute that more to the area than to the hotel. Overall, the place was spotless and was an "easy' place to... More

We really needed a hotel for the last days of Easter Week and the Best Western web site showed availability. We booked almost 45 days in advance and then doublechecked with their web site a week in advance. When we arrived in Oaxaca (by car) late in the evening, the manager on duty had never heard of us or had... More
