Hotel Colón is convenient to most everything in beautiful Oaxaca City--it's just a few blocks from the Mercados de la Merced, 20 de noviembre, and Benito Juárez and another few blocks from the Zocalo and the city's many, many shops and restaurants. I stayed here in December 2013 and I have never in my life had such a bad experienced. We loved Oaxaca but don't stay here! The place is pretty and clean but it seems like there is construction going on throughout the property so you will find materials all over. This new boutique hotel (it's not really a B&B) is close to the zocalo--only about 4 blocks away on a quiet street.
