Lovely room in a flowered patio garden. Clean, comfortable and great breakfast on the patio surrounded by the lovely plants. Really helpful reception. more

Las Golondrinas is a delightful hotel in Oaxaca. The small property is a maze of plants, trees and fountains. The abundance of plants in the gardens makes the hotel feel bigger than it really it; a person feels like his or her room is a private oasis far away from everyone else. The rooms are basic: no TV and a... more

My husband and I stayed at Las Golondrinas for 10 days in December 2008. It was wonderful. The place is a huge garden with 3 patios and the rooms around. We stayed in the first patio in a beautiful room with a private terrace which was a very nice place to relax in the evening. The rooms are nicely decorated... more

We thought this was a perfect little traveler's hotel. Our room was just off the first floor garden, but we felt it was very private. The room was a bit quirky in shape, yet very charming. High ceilings, large bathroom, and it was kept very clean on a daily basis. The staff was very helpful, and a few knew English... more

I am giving this place two out of five only because the gardens are very nice and a good space to spend time in and also because there is one woman who works the desk (earlier part of the day) who is very nice. Aside from that, we had a frustrating experience with this hotel. We stayed there in January... more

If you are looking for the usual comforts of a modern hotel, you may want to choose a different place. If you are looking for a simple, quiet and friendly place, Las Golombrinas is your place. The hotel is a few blocks away from the town centre, not in the best area of the town but it feels relatively safe... more

My husband and I stayed at Las Golondrinas during a 2-night stay in Oaxaca City. It was honestly the perfect hotel for us and when we return to Oaxaca, we will be staying there again! The location was fantastic--only a few blocks from the cathedral and town square (centro). It is towards the north end of town, so it was... more

We all loved our stay at this hotel. The courtyards are beautiful, the staff was friendly, the breakfast area is beautiful and relaxing (though the service is slow), the rooms are large and the location is great. The main downside was that the hot water in the shower was inconsistent. I would definitely stay here if I came to Oaxaca... more

This is my fourth trip to Oaxaca and I finally got into Las Golondrinas, because in the past it had always been booked when I tried to get in there. It has a 95 percent occupancy rate which attests to its popularity. We had three rooms with a party of six of us for Dia de Los Muertos, One triple,... more

Just back from a pleasant week at Las Golandrinas. We didn't book in advance, but were able to get a room that was very clean, light, and pretty, albeit right outside the cafeteria, so a bit noisy in the mornings (But we got up early anyway, so it didn't matter to us.) The gardens were very pretty, though they are... more
