We spent 3 nights here right after christmas. The staff was really friendly and the roooms nice and clean (somewhat basic, but we didn't mind). Breakfast was ok (not included) and served in one of the nice patios. The hotel is really close from the zocalo and santo domingo. The one downside we found is that they have no parking... More

The back rooms are small but fine but the front ones including AA are dark and noisy. For the money the hotel is not a patch on Las Mariposas where friends have been staying. The garden is sweet. Breakfast service is very laid back but I have found that pretty much everywhere ( except Cafe Brujula). I wouldnt recommend LG... More

Breakfast in the garden is a joy! The rooms are pretty standard and characterless but clean and big. More

We were in Oaxaca for Day of the Dead rituals, visiting ruins, artists, weavers and wood carvers. It was a remarkable experience, all nested in lodging at Las Golondrinas. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful; the breakfasts were delicious and wonderfully situated in a lovely garden; the room had the ambience of Oaxaca, was very spacious, comfortable, and clean.... Oaxaca is our favorite destination in Mexico and Las Golondrinas is our favorite hotel. We have stayed here 6 or 7 times over the years and its charm never fades. From the front of the hotel you would never realize how lovely the interior is. There are several small courtyards as you go to the back of the hotel, all... More

Well located and immaculate inn with a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were located around a nice courtyard. I would definitely stay again. More

I always stay at Las Golondrinas, have been for over 15 years. It is reasonable, comfy and located perfectly 5 blocks from the zocalo. Very basic, sober rooms with a nice firm bed that is clean. Killer court yard with plants and pottery and a wall that shields the rooms from noise at night, very secure. Don't expect all the... More

I have traveled to Oaxaca more than 20 times, including the last 14 years for Muertos over Oct-Nov, including a visit during the terrible strike in 06 when Oaxaca was shut down like a war zone. Previously I stayed at Maria's B&B, but now she is semi-retired and relocated to a new home with only several B&B rooms. It would... More
