This was a lovely boutique hotel. Centrally located, we were able to walk everywhere. The rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean. We stayed in Bella Epoca with was a beautiful two room suite with balconies overlooking the street. Double windows and shutters assured we had quiet when we wanted. The staff was excellent and gave it the feel of... More

I want to echo all of the accolades for this hotel. We used our RCI points for this stay and it was quite the value. There are 3 things that really stood out to me, my wife and my step-son (we were there visiting my daughter who is spending her spring semester abroad in Oaxaca): 1. The staff truly makes... More

This is not your cookie cutter chain hotel - if that's what you are looking for this is not the hotel for you. If you want to experience a wonderful step back in time and enjoy the atmosphere that existed at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century this is the hotel for you - you... More

I was blown away by the huge suite (Bella Epoca) and the charm of the building, located a few short blocks from Zocalo, the cathedrals, convents and shopping areas. The staff were friendly, extraordinarily helpful, and the rooftop breakfasts were delicious and served with a smile. We felt as though we had traveled back centuries when we were in the... More

I enjoyed our stay of two nights at this boutique hotel. It has only a few rooms and the two room suite I stayed in was decorated for a couple with children. 1400 pesos for the two room suite. This is a very attractive property. It is located only one and a half blocks from the central plaza of Oaxaca.... More

I travel all over the world, around the globe about three times/year; and never stayed in such a nice hotel. Everything is very well thought through to the smallest detail: the negative critics here are from people who do not appreciate this love for details. The rooms are actually apartments furnished with antique furiture and objects. The roof terrace is... More

We are a family of four who stayed here for 3 nights in December. We had the two top floor suites which opened onto the roof terrace - although it was where breakfast was served each morning for everyone staying at the hotel, the rest of the time it was our private eyrie overlooking the rooftops and a pleasant place... My family and I were in Oaxaca on a short trip, total of 5 persons. We stayed at the hotel 3 nights. We were really happy with our accommodations and service provided throughout our stay. We stayed in the Mio Cid Suite (3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths). There were exceptional details throughout our suites, very nicely decorated and comfortable. We also... More

I'm used to nice things and the Cid didn't disappoint. The detailed touches are really special. It isn't just the furnishings, it's the lighting, the decor. The spaciousness and individuality of the rooms sets this tiny 4 room totel apart from anything else you're likely to experience. The rooms can be on the darkish side, or get some street noise,... It should be a two star bed & breakfast. The owner invested in the cheapest things and charges like it´s silk
