We were a family of 6 and we had to take two taxis anytime we needed to get to the city center (50 pesos set rate each/each way). The staff was very friendly and... More

I had a bit of an "experience" with a local car rental agency and they jumped in and helped me navigate the issue and relieve my stress. It was... More

This is a charming colonial type hotel, The staff speak little English but it did not prevent us from getting good service. The rooms were well-equipped with a safe, mini fridge and toiletries. Very clean hotel. A plus is the open-air bar downstairs and the restaurant on the patio on the first floor.where we enjoyed tasty breakfasts and some good, reasonably... More

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I have had the pleasure of staying there twice and both times my expectations were exceeded. The staff is courteous, kind and highly professional and we felt very well cared for. The rooms and the main space are lovely. The menu is quaint and approachable. The most exciting thing is that... We reserved 3 nights at Hotel Los Pilares at the hotel's website--after a very long Internet search. The cost was about $75 per night and our credit card was not charged until checkout. The entire hotel is immaculate and filled with flowers, potted plants and lovely traditional decor. When we walked into the lobby from the street, we were greeted... More

Los Pilares exceeded my expectations in every way!! The staff was truly helpful and very kind! The room was clean, comfortable and quiet…. The location was better than I had thought it would be, in a quiet and very safe neighborhood and only a few blocks from Santo Domingo Cathedral. Since I was traveling alone I was concerned about safety.... More

My boyfriend and I, really loved our stay in Los Pilares Hotel. We stayed 3 nights and all the staff was incredibly helpful especially Roque, that from the first day untill the last make us feel like home. We really relax on the terrace, where they serve delicious, traditional mexican breakfast. I miss you already all the crew. Muchas gracias
