My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights of our trip to Oaxaca. Lorena is very welcoming but gives plenty of privacy and Marlena provide amazing breakfasts. Some of the best breakfast in Oaxaca. It was so nice to be able to start our days with meals right in the home and not have to seek out that first... More

The location was a short walk from the historic centro -- very central but not too much. The comfort level was good to excellent, the rooms while not huge were adequate especially given there's only 3 rooms and everyone's given run of the house --- comfortable living room and a patio complete with a self-service bar, a water fountain and... We got more than we expected. Food was authentic Oaxacan, by Cook Mele. Lorena and her husband were so hospitable. They gave us recommendations, called taxi's and day tours for us. We plan on returning, the 3 bedroom home has everything needed to relax on your vacation. Décor was amazing, even with the daily change of place setting daily. We... More

Lorena's hospitality is unique. Mexican by birth, she and her husband Alberto live with their son everyday as a real Oaxacan family. Albertos's architectural formation has permeated every corner in the house giving "Estancia Oaxaca" mentions in several well known magazines and books. Breakfast is delicious. One can find Mexican beers, mezcal and tequila in the beautiful bar at the... More

This little B & B is a find. It was perfect for us as we were three couples so we essentially had the house to ourselves. (it is a three room inn) Except of course when the cocinera came and prepared a two course breakfast every morning. We stayed 7 days and each breakfast was different and consisted of different... Me and my family (6 adults and 3 kids) stayed in Estancia de Valencia for a week just before the Guelaguetza began and had a wonder time in this place. Breakfast was excellent and nutritious. The rooms were clean and cozy, Mrs Lorena and her husband gave us good advice on places to visit and eat, they were very helpful.... More

We celebrated our anniversary in Oaxaca and stayed 3 nights at Estancia de Valencia. The house is charming and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Granite room and enjoyed the terrace in the mornings. The attention of the owners and staff is above par. The breakfasts are delicious and provide plenty of fuel to get you through to mid-afternoon. We... More

Had a really great time in Oaxaca, thanks in part to a great stay at Estancia de Valencia. Lorena and the other staff went out of their way to make sure our time was enjoyable, even arranging a dinner for a large greater family get together. The house itself was just beautiful and the location was perfect, just a couple... More

We are low , all we need is clean and comfortable. I have stayed at similar places in Oaxaca that I prefer. The bathrooms really need to be updated, the grout is dingy and the toilets stained inside. I could see this from lying on the bed, unless the door was closed. Every day I had to clean my hair... More

Estancia de Valencia is centrally located in Oaxaca, just a few blocks north of Santo Domingo. Location is convenient and in a safe and mostly quiet neighborhood (being that the city is noisy overall). The house is really impressive, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lorena and her husband are really knowledgeable about Oaxaca and are always eager to share all... More
