Some of the most brilliant hospitality I've ever experienced, in a setting so gorgeous that you walk around smiling all the time. Seriously, no amount of superlatives can describe the greatness of the Red Tree House. Really fresh design in all the rooms (cool sinks! great lighting! pretty bedding!), which all overlook a beautiful garden with fountains and a disco... more

Based upon my recent (October, 2009) stay at the RTH I would like to share my opinion on who would most enjoy this special place: First, travelers who would like to stay in an architecturally interesting, safe, and quiet neighborhood with easy access to public transportation; an area with many good restaurants and bars, pretty parks, and lovely pedestrian walkways.... more

Nobody has ever accused me of being an easy grader, so when I say that the RTH deserves an A+, that is a very meaningful statement. Normally, I visit the DF in the company of my wife and we rent a small apartment for our stay. Last month, I was in the DF on my own, so I decided to... more

It is like staying at a friends house, you just feel like home! Very nice stuff, sat together with them and other guests in the evening before going out for dinner, just talking in the wonderful green patio. Rooms are tastfully decorated, and the breakfast is very delicious. Further, it is located in a nice area of the city with... more

ooooh, I had such a good time here!!! It's a very relaxing place, especially for an independent traveler! I stayed in the Tree House room, while tiny, it is soooo, sooo, so cozy! Housekeeping is hardworking and the place is impeccable. The breakfast is impressive, but simple, with enough variety for all travelers. Jorge and Ernesto check constantly to make... more

There is a reason the Red Tree House is rated #1 - it is a quite extraordinary place in terms of the beautiful decor, yummy food, and caring and attentive service. It is the sort of place you will rave to your friends about. The House itself is so beautiful - modern Mexican architecture and decor with a nod to the... more

This is a cute and sweet place for travelers who need a cozy place to stay while in Mexico City. Pretty centrally located. The owners and their dog "Abril" were super nice and was part of the breakfast in the morning. I had recommended this place to my friends who ended up loving it, too! I'll say to everyone going... more

From outside it looks a bit plain and small (taxi drivers have trouble finding it and the sign is really small, almost hidden) but once you are inside and settled you will feel right at home. Mind you, this place is only for people who do not like the big glitzy chain hotels and prefer something small with a family... more

One can't compare RTH with other hotels .. RTH is family and advisors, beauty and tranquility, comfort and color, hearty breakfasts with new friends, help in times of need and companionship in celebration. Viva RTH! more

I just stayed at The Red Tree House a couple of days ago. I was attending a conference in Mexico City and the RTH was highly recommended by someone I know. I live in different city in Mexico but I was flying into Mexico City at 5:30 am from Los Angeles. The day before my arrival I called the staff... more
