This hotel is expensive. The rate paid by the organisers of the workshop I attended (Semarnat, the Mexican Environment Ministry) was over 250 US dollars per night. Even at this price, everything had a surcharge for the guest: thebottled water in the rooms, the coffee, Internet access. Absolutly, the worst hotel i have ever stayed in !!!! No internet, the staff spoke next to no english.. They lost all my clothes with the laundry service and i had to leave the hotel. The Camino Real is a lovely hotel. The rooms are large, modern and clean, the food is good, the staff are friendly and helpful and the views over Mexico City and the hills beyond from many parts of the hotel are truly spectacular! Booked a suite for my best friends wedding night and asked staff to place some items(champagne, flowers and rose pedals) in the room for their special night.
