We had confirmed reservations at the Gran Hotel de Ciudad Mexico. When we arrived, our reservations were not honored, and we were directed to the NH Centro Historico. What a HAPPY ACCIDENT! The location is excellent, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the rate was even more faborable than the other hotel. We found the staff to be pleasant and... More

This hotel is located right in the historical centre of Mexico City - just one block from the Zocalo and Madero street. It's also at a walking distance of the Alameda, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Templo Mayor, thus ideal to visit the major monuments in the centro historico. There's an underground station nearby which is useful to visit other parts... More

Great hotel. Highly recommend. I've traveled a great deal and this hotel met all requirements. Just a block off Zocola (city square) and walking distance to many attractions. Lots of shopping (dept stores, etc) very near. Area felt very safe, busy with people all hours. Check in easy and swift. Quiet room as requested. Clean, comfortable twin beds, nice bathroom,... More

The rooms were modern and clean if a bit compact. The hotel lacked atmosphere and was a bit sterile. The service was ok but suprised when the hotel refued to change US $ travellers cheques but there was a bank directly opposite and an exchange shop next door. Location just off the main square was perfect though for tourist site... More

The hotel is a good offering from NH hotels, with everything you would expect. Public areas are clean, spacious and fairly modern, and rooms are ok. Walls were surprisingly thin for what seemed like an old building, and noise travelled through. Wooden floors are much more hygienic than carpets, which I like in NH here in Latin America, but please... More

Had 3 nights here to "do" the sights of Mexico City. It is aimed at the businessman, but , being just a block from the Zocolo it was a perfect spot for the holidaymaker too. The rooms were amazingly quiet for such a central position, spacious and had good bathrooms including a bath-tub. Furniture was functional rather than refined, but... More

In the hall, they proudly announce they were rewarded as the best hotel in Mexico for 2 consecutive years. However, the rooms are quite small and in the smoking section like elsewhere, you cannot open windows. Coffee machine, water are not free. There is no parking. Internet is expensive, except for the free PC downstairs, with a derelict mouse. Staff... More

This is an updated modern hotel very conveniently located in the historical district. If you get a good price, it's worth the stay. Downsides to this hotel are problems with electricity going out. Also, you need to insert your card key into a holder to have electricity to the room. Unfortunately, when you leave, the power is lost to the... More

We were in Mexico City for sightseeing and the location of the NH is just perfect. I don't know why everybody seems to recommend the area of Zona Rosa, when I think that the Centro Historico is a much better location. Guess it depends about your nightlife activities, we were rather tired from running around all day, so it's great... More
