I stayed here twice, once for 8 days and once for 5 days. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. There are safes in the rooms and WiFi. I had a room that the Wifi wasn't great in and the front desk switched my room immediately. It was perfect in the 2nd room. Like... More

Double room is too small. Bad internet connection and too noisy on the first floor. There's no "don't disturb" sign and the cleaning lady entered our room while we're sleeping. It's only for the cheap prices and near the subway. Personal are cold and not that friendly.

Stayed here 3 nights in April 2015 at the start of an 8 month backpacking adventure. Staff were very friendly, the room was clean & bed comfortable. Hot shower, free water and TV in room all bonus points. Located a walkable distance from the zocalo with easy access to metro too.

Hi good day: We are pleased that you had a pleasant stay and hope to provide our service again on visits to Mexico City. Sorry you've had problems with the fee, but sometimes the prices marked on the reservation does not include taxes, maybe the problem is that the booking engines put this in little letters; at Mexico City aplies... I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It was pointed to me by locals that the hotel was not in the best area and that it was a "by the hour" hotel but my experience said otherwise. The room was very clean and the housekeepers did a good job of keeping it that way. The hotel is about a 5 minute... More

Pros: Location is perfect, very close the metro station. Comfortable bed. Quiet street, no problems with sleeping at night. Cleaned every day with fresh bottles of water, towels and linen. Difficult to beat the price for this quality of room and location. Lots of channels on the tv. Cons: There were some bugs in the room on the first night... More

Good day: We appreciate the time to rate our service and provide us the opportunity for continuous improvement for a better service; We are in the process of remodeling our rooms for a more modern touch; the problems in the voltage variation become from outside by the local electrical network. We also inform you that the adult channels can be... More

Hotel Fornos has all we needed for our vacation in Mexico City. Excellent location, very close to the metro station (a short ride away from zone rosa and/or Centro Historico). We felt very safe walking to and from the station any time of the day. One day we even walked back from Zocalo in the afternoon. It was a pleasant... More

We stayed at the Hotel Fornos for one night in mid July. We were already quite familiar with the "nuts and bolts" hardware sales neighborhood. The area is not especially scenic, but has as its principal attraction the proximity of the Mercado San Juan area foodie mecca. I'd reserved a standard room, but on arrival, decided to upgrade to a... More

Hi: First our gratitude for you to take the time to qualify our service and we are working hard to avoid the drawbacks. Maybe the difference between the price is because Booking.com gives the rates without taxes, for mexico you have to add the 16% of IVA and a 3% By lodging taxes for mexico city. And we just receive... More

South of the Alameda. Small but clean rooms, at least one with an extra-large bathroom. Popular with Mexicans, be sure to reserve. Use the message option if you lack a Mexican credit card. As an older woman, I've never worried about walking down Revillagigedo at night through a neighborhood of electrical parts stores. A couple of blocks from the Ernesto... More
