An amazing mix of heritage architecture and contemporary style - the rooms are simple but beautifully done, each is different. We expected a lot from Grupo Habita and they delivered in spades. We arrived at night into the candle-lit courtyard and it was magical. Said central courtyard is a gorgeous feature and we loved breakfast up on the guest room... More

Its a design hotel, so it's got a little attitude, but in it's entirety...location, design, comfort, services... it's pretty freakin' good The room has all the amenities you need...the bathroom is perfect, huge bed, interesting magazines, great minibar....I love the design! The complex that Downtown Mexico is situated is in probably one reason you don't need to leave the hotel... More

The hotel is located in the former palace of a Spanish duchess and the appropriate and tasteful modern decor compliment the building's heritage. While the rooms are not overly luxe, spaces are thoughtfully appointed and the atmosphere is charming. We stayed in both the hotel and hostel sections and enjoyed several meals in the excellent onsite eateries. The location of... More

The guard at to go up makes it hard to go up and after you talk to like 5 people you go up, its empty and service is slow.. Too bad that the viw os actually great but there are better places in the vicinity, hopefully they will be a bit nicer and organized to get good customers

The hotel staff is great; the location is great; the design is great; the historical building is great; the rooftop bar is great; the rooms were nice but no air conditioner... however, what do you expect from a 17th century building... stunning and will happily return! Even if you do not stay here... visit their shops and food areas... and... More

I spent five days at Downtown Mexico last week and had a terrific stay. It was my first visit to the city and I'm so glad to have chosen this hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to main sights in Centro Historico. The hotel is lively, has a friendly staff and wonderful architecture. The rooms are on the minimalistic... More

Downtown Hotel is perfectly located two blocks west of the Zocalo on Isabel la Catolica between 16 de Septiembre & Av. Francisco I. Madero. Walking distance to landmarks/sightseeing in Mexico City, shops, restaurants and cafés. The hotel itself is a beautiful blend of industrial and modern design with historic nods to its 17th century building façade, architecture, and surroundings. The... More

A potentially good use of an old building. The design is great but it was rather shabby. The restaurant was rather hit-and-miss at breakfast time. Slow service and not very enjoyable food. We had booked it as an SLH hotel (normally reliable) but in our opinion, it did not live up to the expected standards of an SLH hotel. We... More

We stopped by for a drink after my husband's recital at MUNAL. Lovely terrace, could use some color, and the pool REALLY needs chlorine..but I digress, after 10 minutes sitting at the table I called over a waiter..FYI there were busy with people BUT with 3 people with BARTENDER Tshirts and 4 with WAITER, wow! We would have ordered a... More
