Fantastic location with a daily room rate that will be hard to beat ($42usd). Beautiful art-deco structure on the outside but an incredibly disappointing experience on the inside. There is absolutely NO art-deco on the inside. The shell of the original structure remains but the interiors are chopped up like an average business hotel and furnished as one. Compact and... More

I submitted my reservation online. I cancelled the folllowing day, 3 days ahead of my arrival. Despite there being a 24-hour cancellation policy, I was still hit with a $90 dollar fee. The hotel's site clearly states that there is no charge if one cancels at least 24 hours in advance. The charge to my credit card was put through... More

First, go thru customs then go to the ATM retrieve your pesos. I took out $1000 MEX which is around $79.00 US dollars. Definitely pay for a cab at the airport. We went with Sitio. The cost was around $245 MEX or around say $18 or so US Dollars. Count your change carefully. Then we arrived after a great conversation... More

First of all, the pluses. Good location straddling the Condessa and Roma neighborhoods - which are fairly upscale with interesting Art Deco architecture. Very clean and well maintained. Now the negatives - we're not fussy travelers and shouldn't complain at $46 a night in the world's largest city, but even in the cheapest, most run down hostels I've stayed in... More

In my opinion this was just OK. Ice cold water except in the morning, when it's still so cool that I had to shower a spot at a time. VERY noisy streets below. Internet routers drop every 3-4 minutes, so I had to re-connect dozens of times for each session. We reserved a suite but got downgraded to a small... More

This place was great - low priced, in a safe neighborhood and not far from the Metro. There is a lot to do in the area. The employees are very nice and helpful, the restaurant that's connected has good food and drinks late-night, solid breakfast, and good coffee. The rooms have everything you need - basic, cozy and well taken... More

I stayed here while on business based on a friend's recommendation. I knew that the streets surrounding it could be noisy so I specifically requested an inside room in my reservation comments. I arrived late and too tired to request a change once i discovered that I had been given an outside room. The street noise was quite loud until... More

Stayed at the Roosevelt on two occasions in July for short stops between other venues. I've stayed there various times over the past 10 years and find it about the same as ever. It may be getting a little frayed about the edges (the two guest rooms I was in could use a little paint and fix-up) but the experience... More

This hotel is a good choice if you are planning on spending time in a lot of different neighborhoods, as it is centrally located between Roma and Condessa. I wish there had been a subway stop closer, because it is quite far away from the historic district. It is on a pretty busy street so ask for an inside room... More

My favorite little hotel in Mexico City. The same staff has been there for a long time and they know me by my first name. It has been remodeled. Convenient to the Metrobus. A short walk to the Zona Rosa. Rooms are a little small, but pleasantly decorated with a European style. They even let my dog (a small bichon)... More
