This Hotel is clean and comfortable and in a good location for the historical area of Mexico City. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the restaurant has basic food - but tastes just fine. Was happy with my stay here.

My tour started at this hotel so thought I would book myself one night before the tour started. Location pretty central. Good value - pretty inexpensive. you get what you pay for. Did not enjoy the breakfast buffet in the morning. Front desk staff spoke almost no English so that was difficult. Rooms were clean though.

Facade is much better, then the hotel. Douch and toilet are very old and barely working.Asked to leave valuables at the desk, and they adviced to leave them in the room, i won't never do it, when we returned, there was a very suspicious young man wondering in the corridor. Not recommended

We wanted something on the cheaper side and not a hostel. The room is small but was clean and the housekeeping was good everyday. Pretty close to zocalo. We left our pricey cameras at the front at one stage for about 4 hours and had no problems.

great location and nice staff, restaurant in the same building with good prices, market and food store close, subway is very cheap (about 2-3 peso) and the station is close to the hotel, the room having in mind that it is Mexico was very good and clean, it's very safe in Mexico City, I've never seen so many police officers... I only stayed here to meet up with my travel group but found this hotel to be in a convenient location to the zocalo, the room was fine, the restaurant & bar downstairs was nice to have although nothing special, it had an elevator and a friendly, helpful staff. So I was quite satisfied with it. I used the tourist... More

I went to this hotel because I wanted to be a real tourist in my own city, I hadn't enough money to afford a 5 star hotel, actually i had little money so I searched for cheap hotels and that's how I found Hotel El Salvador, it is nice and the rooms are clean, obviously, accordingly to the price, I... Good location; funny electronics street (each street in this area is devoted to some kind of technology or product: plumbing or electronics, bathroom fitting or vacuum cleaners. Kinda fun!). No good restaurants or bars at night (our beverage option - aside from manly man cantinas was to buy big beers through a barred security window at the Oxxo down the... More

i stayed in this hotel for just 1 night, i planned to go to many museums and historic monuments traveling trough the "metro" subway system, the hotel location is perfect for metro, but sourrounding areas are full of electronic stores all day, its kinda noisy, all was ok, room was clean, just enough for a 3 stars hotel, room decoration... Clean reasonably priced central hotel. We paid $430 peso per night for a double room. The street where the Hotel is located is very busy during the day and if you arrive at night the surrounding area is a bit rundown, but the Hotel entrance is a welcome gem in what first appears as a not so good area. Hotel... More
