On my first visit to Mexico City, I was fortunate to have been told about Hotel del Principado by friends. It is an easy trip from the airport and located in Zona Rosa amidst trees, lovely old buildings and yet walking distance from places like Starbucks and convenience stores. It has both the charm of an old city and the... More

I was hesitant about writing a review because I wanted to keep this hotel my little secret. Suffice it to say this is the best hotel in which I have ever stayed. I didn't feel like a guest; I felt like a member of the family. Have you stayed in a hotel where the manager arrived at 5 AM just... More

Hotel del Principado is a small hotel in the center of the Zona Rosa. We arrived at around midnight, having done a reservation a few hours before through Expedia. The reservation didn't show up on their system, but the receptionist just asked me to show him the email and he respected the price given through Expedia. The room was super... More

Second stay here was much more enjoyable than the first. Get a room with double beds even if you only need one bed. The room with double beds was much larger. Very close to Insurgentes station although you have to walk through the gay area if that is an issue for you. Staff are helpful and friendly. Didn't eat at... More

This was a nice hotel for the price and couldn't beat the location. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The room was clean but the wifi was weak. The taco and torta stand at the street corner were phenomenal!

Budget friendly hotel, nice and clean rooms and excelent breakfast in bufet form. The choice of food was great, we loved the fresh fruit, melon and papaya. The hotel and the restaurant staff did their utmost best to fulfil our wishes. The last morning we had to leave for a long bus journey before the breakfast was served and we... More

Room my friend and I were: Parking lot view; should be quiet, but not quite - generator works every 20 or 30 minutes or so. Room my children were: Street facing - noisy. The second night, they heard banging outside the street - there was demolition going on all throughout the night until mid-day. Breakfast: Heavy enough to start the... More
