Can't beat the location..you walk out the hotel tothe right and 10 mins you're at the Zocalo. The renovated rooms are nice, modern and clean. They give you 2 bottles of water which is great. Staff were friendly. It is a super noisy place though with the laminate floors and concrete walls I guess. The elevator can be heard rocking... More

Dear guest, we are very sorry for the inconvenience the renovations caused. For what is worth, in the floor you were staying we offer to change rooms to every room that was affected but in some cases we didn´t hear back from the guests, maybe this was your case. However we are very grateful for your stay and once again... More

We had a really lovely room here towards the back of the hotel, it was quite and the room was really modern with flat screen TV and nice bathroom. The beds were really comfortable and the room was cleaned everyday. The restaurant was fairly priced for breakfast and did great cafe con leche. Fairly central location, 10 minutes or so... More

Pros: excellent location Cons: washroom was like something you'd see at a public gas station, so rusty and unclean that for our one night stay I decided I'd rather not shower - if you're not picky about your washroom, the bedroom component was acceptable/cleaner

The hotel was clean and comfortable and well-located at only a few blocks from the Zocalo. The staff was very helpful and polite and the restaurant / bar was very good. When we asked for a taxi to the airport to be called for us the next morning it was there waiting for us when we checked out. There were... More

The hotel is completely renovated/refurbished. Work is still not finished, but not a problem while staying. The rooms are modern, chic, pleasant and have a good size. We were very pleasantly surprised, especially since the price is more than ok. The Zocalo is just down the street 5 min), subway Pino Suarez is practically in front as well as metrobus... More

This hotel was far and away THE noisiest place I have ever stayed at in Latin America in 40 years of traveling. During the day we had heavy construction work (jackhammers, men yelling at each other, sounds of hammering or chipping rock and metal drills or saws) going on immediately under us and across from our window, from 9am till... I stayed here for five days and it was very nice. Very economical and centrally located. Only ten minute walk from the Zocalo. 15 minutes from the Bellas Artes. I would give this place a two stars rating. Bad attitude from the night reception person. No internet during a 8 days stay. No willing to fix it, no apologies. Construction starts 9 -10 am. Will not stay there ever again.

For the price, this is a pretty reasonable deal—and at that price point you must aspect at least a couple of caveats. For Castropol in our room those are: * Noisy. During the day there was construction going on, and a bunch of sounds we never managed to locate. During the night it's mostly quiet, but the noise starts early.... More
