The hotel is located in central Mexico City, close to all the sight seeing places. Room was neat and clean and decently appointed. However, if you do not know Spanish then you are in for a hard time. I could not explain to the desk that I needed a few extra hangers for my clothes or that I needed an... More

First off I got 2 rooms and when they escorted us to the first room and I thought wow this looks crappy but as I got out the elevator the fire extinguisher on the wall glass was all on the floor not sure why. I was charged $40USD to check in early. I was taken into the 2nd room and... More

I read some bad reviews and I thought they were exaggerating. But after stayed there, I can assure you that this is a terrible hotel. Cleaning is very bad if they actually do it. The furniture needs some maintenance. Their "internet" is the slowest internet I've used, even in Cuba they got better internet. Air conditioning in the rooms does... More

As I understood from the previous reviews the hotel was renovated not long ago. Now it looks amazing, like a brand new! Huge bed, perfect shower, very clean room, good staff.I didn't really like the location, it was kind of historical center, but we didn't find anything to do within walking distance. We stayed only one night, so for a... More

I stayed at this dangerous hotel with my family from the 14th to17th of August for a special occasion to see the dance debut of my daughter's beat friend at Bellas Artes. When my daughter and her boyfriend returned to the hotel later Saturday night the clerk and bellhop on duty barred her from the elevator, verbally attacked her, called... More

We stayed here on a 5 day business trip. The hotel is basic, but clean, with a little restaurant. The hotel has 2 things going for it: - location is excellent, next to historical centre, close to lots of excellent Mexican restaurants and the Juarez station. - the staff is very friendly, aiming to please. As example - when we... More

This hotel is very central, close to the Metro, walk into centro. The rooms are comfortable and some look like they have been recently renovated. There are two elevators and only one is working and from previous comments the other one has been out for close to a year. The restaurant should be ignored as the food was terrible and... More

The hotel is located in the heart of the city. The rates are very reasonable and the rooms are spacious. The Palacio de Bellas Artes is only a few blocks aways and the famous avenue Paseo de Reforma is a 10 minute walk away. One should the museum of Popular Arte (Museo de Arte Popular) which is only a few... More

Stayed four nights. Good location near Alameda Park. Very disappointed as our first hotel on a tour of Mexico. Hotel needs some serious decoration and renovation. Restaurant staff not good, with no customer skills. There are better hotels at the same price. Definitely would not reccomend.

Staying in Alameda

Neighborhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
