Only a couple of negative comments... No free breakfast, they charge for internet access, and black mold in the shower tile grout. Also, it would be nice if they would hand out the free maps that the DF tourist bureau produces. But the staff was friendly, with good English. Nice Mexican and international clientele. Right in the heart of the... More

It was very hard to find this place at night, I arrived around midnight. This place is on a side street opposite KFC. I couldn't see a proper sign. Taxi driver tried to leave me on the street saying oh it's somewhere here. I rang the reception multiple times while I was on the taxi, girl who answered the phone... More

My partner booked a private room with shared bathroom but when we arrived the person at the front desk said they had not availability for that kind of room (our reservation was not honored), so we had to pay for the most expensive room without even an apology as compensation, but we had no time to look for something else... I went for the best option, the private room with bathroom, at hostal La Tercia and I would definitely suggest it if you are staying in Mexico city.Yes maybe a little basic (it`s a hostel!) but nothing was missing, the shower was big and the bed was comfy. It was clean, not too expensive, free wifi and I felt safe.Is in zona... In the middle of a commercial area in Zona Rosa, the hostal is near everything you could possibly want, good and bad. The place itself is clean, safe and well maintained. The layout is not the best I've seen, however, but if you don't mind walking on an open corridor to get to the shower in the morning and want... More

The hostel has excellent insulation for sound and temperature. The showers are large and the water is hot and the pressure is good. Bathrooms could've been cleaner. Beds were comfy and there are huge lockers to store backpacks. I agree with the person who said it isn't a traveller hostel. There is a terrace which would be nice to hang... More

All thou the hostel does not have the appeal of a regular hostel it is nice. The location is great, just a few steps from the metro station and in the middle of shopping and night live of zona rosa. The showers and toilets are separate for men and women and are on 2 different levels. Wifi is included but... More

This was the second hostel my girlfriend and I stayed in during our 8 day visit to Mexico City. We found this place last minute for 2 nights through TripAdvisor, and I have to say, we were extremely disappointed. Although this hostel has a decent location for a reasonable price, it will not stand up to any hostel for exploring... More

La Tercia is where you want to stay if you want the basics done right. I read a few negative comments about dirtiness and theft and while I believe the contributors, nothing of the sort happened in my experience. The bed and pillows were new and comfortable. There are zero frills, not even a picture on the wall, but I... More
