This hostel is huge, the building is beautiful and the rooms are airy. The kitchen, common room and roof terrace are all great. Staff were cool and informative, drawing us maps, giving us recommendations etc. the place is very social and the terrace is a nice place to drink and play cards. Initially we were put in a room with... More

I have a little mixed feelings about this review. First the pros: + very nice personnel - always helpful + breakfast is fine (typical hostel breakfast like toast + jam + butter) + very central + cheap prices for a night - very very noisy, on the opposite there is a nightclub and there were always music playing very loud... The hostel is huge. But in the same time it has plenty of spaces too socialize. Security is good. The place is clean and the wifi fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Enough bathrooms too and in the dorms you got enough space to place your backpack and the lockers are spacious too. It's a bit hard to... More

Don't be fooled by the other reviews, while this hostal is centrally located, if you value a good nights sleep in order to fully appreciate your days in Mexico City do NOT stay here. It's particularly noisy at weekends, there are bars downstairs that play really dated trance music full blast and once that stopped I managed to sleep for... More

Hostel Regina is perfectly located in the Historical Zone of Mexico City. Walking distance to major sites and great restaurants. The rooms are clean and large. Friendly helpful staff and good security. Lovely terrace. Bathrooms are very clean. Great value for the price. Will return again.

I had a room on the third floor and the fire alarms had been removed. The bathrooms were dirty and I cut my foot on a broken drain. The internet was always very slow and the staff seemed to be on vacation. This hostal has all of the makings of a charming venue but it is very poorly run. My... More

Staying at this hostel is like being very tired at a wild party at a friend's house and trying to fall asleep on a bed without having had enough to drink to pass out. There is a night club on the roof that is only separated from the rooms by a glass roof. More music is blasted from the bar... More

The rooms were a good size with huge lockers. Bathrooms were spotless and large enough to accomodate everyone at the hostal. I enjoyed my stay but found the weekend to be quite noisy. I think it's the same way everywhere in Mexico City if you're staying in a room overlooking the street. Breakfast was simple - bread and coffee. There... More

Overall quite good. 15 - US each for a private twin room was much larger than expected and even came with TV and a couch sort of thing - probably used for a third bed when necessary. The room was well maintained and clean. Shared bathroom was also very clean. Free breakfast is a nice touch but don't expect much... More
