The rooms were a good size with huge lockers. Bathrooms were spotless and large enough to accomodate everyone at the hostal. I enjoyed my stay but found the weekend to be quite noisy. I think it's the same way everywhere in Mexico City if you're staying in a room overlooking the street. Breakfast was simple - bread and coffee. There... More

Overall quite good. 15 - US each for a private twin room was much larger than expected and even came with TV and a couch sort of thing - probably used for a third bed when necessary. The room was well maintained and clean. Shared bathroom was also very clean. Free breakfast is a nice touch but don't expect much... More

Great location near zocalo. Wonderful atmosphere in the lobby and restaurant. the staff was very helpful. toilets and showers are spotless. rooms are a bit noisy because of the central location, good place to meet other travelers.

The staff was super friendly! I book a room for 12 people which some of them where extremely against going to a place with the name "hostal" in it, but they thank me afterwards. It was cheap clean and pretty. They have computers with internet and big lockers for your personal stuff safety, just bring your own lock and key.... More

The hostal is a beautiful multistory colonial style building, that is located close enought to Zocalo to be a short and enjoyable walk to get there, but far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main avenues. The roof top bar is a good place to chill out and meet fellow travellers from all over the world, and... More

Hostal Regina is located near the Zocalo, the historic central square of Mexico City. I stayed there twice, once before heading for Tulum, and second time when I returned. The location is superb and its near the Metro stop Isabela Catolica from which you can explore the rest of the city. There are numerous restaurants, shops and markets close by.... More

Good value, nice and clean and big rooms. The rooftop bar was cool and cheap, and the staff were really friendly. Bit loud at the weekend if you didnt want to party, but only till 12pm - after all it is a hostel not a hotel. Good facilities and great location. Best hostel i stayed in whilst in mexico by... Having been born and raised in the city, and now traveling as a tourist, Hostal Regina is like being back home!!! The building is amazing, the rooms a dream, Arlette and the rest of the staff, including security personnel, are outstanding, friendly, helpful, all smiles and always laid back and cheerful!!! Can hardly think of any other place I would... More

The hostel is very well located in the Historical Center. Apart from being close to many attractions, the quality is very high. The rooms are spacious, everything new, the bathroom is clean and modern and they have a bar on the roof which is perfect environment.

What an experience, the staff were extremely helpful 110% of the time. It was extremely clean, in outstanding order, secure, pristine, and beautifully built. The bar was very fun, and the staff were extremely fun and extroverted. Unlike most hostels, namely Hostel Amigo, the staff were friendly from start to finish. It is a very affordable hostel and is located... More
