This Holiday Inn is located in 5 de Mayo on the edge of the main squre in downtown Mexico City. It is not luxurious but the location is perfect. It has a roof terrace for drinks and meals which overlooks the Cathedral and National Palace. The views both night and day are beautiful. The rooms are small and the double... More

I don't personally like hotels where you feel you could be anywhere in the world, for their being, maybe comfortable but impersonal...Here from the minor details to the big breathtaking view of the cathedral and the main square in Mexico City everything makes you feel welcome in Mexico...The rooms are not flashy, but extremely cosy...the beds are not huge king... Friendly hotel in an amazing location. Rooms are large enough. In room coffee maker and free wifi are a plus. The roof top restaurant is the killer feature. You get amazing views of Zocalo plaza and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Hotel is clean, the staff is outstanding and very friendly.

Some two years after our first visit to Mexico City, we returned twice to the Holiday Inn at the begining and end of our holiday - it was much as we expected. Whilst I accept that it would not suit all - we like its central position and its friendly & helpful staff. Having booked twin beds - to avoid... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel on our 2 weeks tour in Mexico with a bigger croup. The location is best possible in the city. Everything worth seeing is near. The hotel itself is worn out and needs some fixing. Our double room consisted only one narrow bed for two and the sleeping quality was poor. The buffet breakfast... More

Great location and staff were generally very nice and accommodating. Of the 5 nights at the hotel, 3 nights we had no air conditioning and 2 afternoons were also without. The temperature inside the room was extremely hot and made for very poor sleep. (The room temperature liquified my coconut oil which speaks to it being at least 80 degrees).... More

The hotel was neat, the room was neat, [in both senses, we had to take turns in walking past the bed] the 'bathroom' was neat, although the folding plastic door was confusing if you had to get up in the night, but on the plus side the staff were charming and helpful, the situation was convenient being right on the... A little hard to find by cab, on a one way street off the zocalo. You can take the Metro, but be warned that you'll be man handling your luggage up stairs if you do.
