I've been at Melia Reforma 3 times in the last 4 yrs. LIKE: Modern hotel, 20 minutes walking distance to downtown, Bellas Artes, Catedral, etc.. 10 mts. drive to Polanco and business area without the Polanco prices. 1 Block to Samborns, VIPS both good restaurants with Mexican dishes as well as more international food. I agree, Melia's restaurant is expensive... more

Organized the 2008 business sales summit in this hotel and it was very good and accessible place. Close to the city and also to nearest places. Very good atmosphere and food served. Ciao Ronak more

I traveled to the Gran Melia Reforma and was a bit worried about its location, very near the city center. When I arrived there, I saw that it was a great hotel and its location was just as great as the hotel, very near to everything. The breakfast was great and the bar too. A convenience store inside the hotel,... more

This hotel was close to my business, and had fine rooms and reliable wireless internet service. It lacked efficient service. I'll go through some examples. There was a useful card to hang on the door with requests, including maintenance. It even had a picture of a lamp, with a way of indicating that a lamp was not working. I made... more

I arrived with my party around midnight at the Mexico Melia Reforma after an almost 24 hour journey to find out that the hotel made an overbooking and we had no rooms! I felt that everything was done in a shady way because Mr. Israel from the reception did not say anything when we gave him the vouchers and actually... more

I was a little concerned after reading the mixed reviews but was very pleasantly surprised. I got a good deal on the internet - average of $US115 dollars per night. The lobby area was very impressive and clean and the staff were helpful and eager to assist. The Queen deluxe room was comfortable, spacious and had character. I enjoyed the... more

Overall the hotel was pleasant. The room (1419) was nice and quiet. Room service and front desk personnel were very helpful. But BEWARE of the concierge and and doormen! They will insist on putting you in a more expensive hotel taxi even if you ask them nicely to call a regular taxi for you, which is MUCH cheaper. I got... more

This hotel should be a lot nicer for what you're actually paying. Not a five star at all, it looks kind of shabby and a bit dirty if you ask me. My bathroom was lacking some maintainance and I bet you cannot say you're happy when you pay for your car to be parked at the hotel you're staying in.... more

The Gran Melia Mexico Reforma is well-located in Mexico City for Zona Rosa and Centro Historico visits, Polanco is a little further away. I travel to Mexico often and have fond memories of the Gran Melia - but now it is time for the hotel to refurbish the rooms. As a previous reviewer noted, the rooms have not changed in... more
