If you come to Mexico City, than this is the best place to stay. For us, it was the first and one of the best experiences in Mexico. The place is very warm and beautiful, clean - our bedsheets were changed daily, we had warm water, and a beautiful garden to relax. The owners of the place are really friendly... More

Well decorated, separate from house, oasis is a big city. All points of interests sugested by Virginie were perfect. For sure if we`re going back to Mexico city, we will stay again. So sad that Mexico city has such a bad reputation.

My mom and I went at Jade's for a week and it was great. The owner Virginie was super nice and gave us some tips on the area, what to do and not... the rooms were really clean and nice. there's a little kitchenette on the roof top that was perfect to prepare meals and have a nice breakfast in... Jade Guesthouse has two rooms with bathroom attached to a large house with courtyard that was built by an artist. The charming owners, a couple from France, have been working hard at renovating and restoring the property, and their efforts show. They are very helpful with suggestions for tourist activities, grocery shopping, restaurants, etc., etc. As they both work full-time,... More

Tucked aside through an unassuming door, is a beautiful home with central court yard, two self contained rooms and a shared roof top. We stayed in the top room it was cute and cosy. Hot water flows a plenty :) room was serviced daily and the host virginia is very hospitable and helpful. The roof top was a fave and... More

This charming guesthouse sits on a peaceful neighborhood that was once setup for affluent families. Hence, the majestic houses here and there. The location is distant from Mexico City's Zocalo but cabs can easily be flagged and the train station's a few blocks away (okay maybe the train station's a bit far but it's a pretty entertaining walk). The rooms... More

It was great experience. My luggage was lost, and Virgini made everything in her power to help me to find it, by calling airport and guiding people to her house. Room was very cozy. Only thing it didn't have a door to the bathroom, which is OK when people know each other really well, but for us it was a... More

Very nice and calm kind-of-homestay with good private rooms. The open-air kitchen has everything you need. The Location is ok, becuase it is close to everything and the neighbourhood (Santa Maria la Ribera) is quite interesting. You won't find any tourists there. And the family, that runs the place, is very kind and helpful, they know really a lot and... More

First, a quick word lesson - We'd been confused originally by the name "Hostal" which means "Guesthouse" and NOTHING like its lookalike "Hostel;" a communal backpackers' option. A hundred years ago the site of Hostal Jade had been a home with maids, their sleeping rooms in a separate two-storey with access to the kitchen, on a rear terrace. Current homeowners... More

Just spent two nights at Jade Guesthouse and really enjoyed it. Virginie is very accommodating and helpful, we arrived earlier than planned and were met with a cup of coffee and allowed to leave our bags until the room was ready. She also knows the area very well and her recommendations were great: try the Italian restaurant close by! The... More
