Ive stayed over for one night only, was upgraded to a penthouse full of amenities and space. In suite bathroom was excellent even had a nice jacuzzi.
Only two big NO's:
No A/C - too hot, only 2 ventilators.
Windows don't open more than 40cm

Casa Castelar is more of a serviced apartment option than a traditional B&B, and it probably suits better the business traveller.
Nevertheless, it's a good option to hotels in the Polanco area, with clean and modern, albeit small, rooms.

The best thing going for Casa Castelar is its location which is truly second to none. There are loads of eateries, restaurants and cafes in the vicinity, excellent shopping, and Chaputelpec around the corner. The hotel itself is nothing to rave and rant about.
