Perfectly situated to walk to metro, wonderful restaurants, shops and most museums and murals. Take a room on the 6th floor, 607-608 two queen size beds with a balcony, or 601 for a king bed. To pay $350 USD for 4 nights including breakfast in the historic district of a major capital city is amazing. The downside is that wifi... More

I love this hotel! very central in heart of Mexico City and a nice restaurant with a breakfast buffet with all you need for a good start for a new day. Ask for a room with a balcony,i think that is a good option. Start your day on the balcony after a shower and just enjoy the wakening and life... More

The Hotel Gillow is centrally located in the Central Historic district. It is only 2 blocks from the zocalo. It is very affordable considering where it is located. Sharing a double room with breakfast included was $37.00 per night. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi worked off and on. When I could connect it took forever for a page to load, so I... More

Excellent value! It costed about US$60 for a room with two beds and a balcony with a great view of downtown Mexico City. La Profesa historic church next door (In the 1800's the hotel building was part of the curch's quarters). You can easily walk to everywhere from the hotel: Bellas Artes Palace and La Alameda park just 5 short... More

Have been spending the winter in Mexico for many years now...The Hotel Gillow is where we stay every time we are in Mexico City....It is also where we spend five days yearly..with my Art Craft group. Enjoy the whole atmosphere of the place, great staff and the location is unbeatable.

This hotel is very nice, great location, right in the historical area. The staff were really nice, the breakfast was good. They accommodated us for extra nights at the last minute and we booked a couple of very good day tours through them. Even the day trips were just added to our bill.

It is supposed to be 4 stars. And they are supposed to be tripadvisers winners of 2012 or something like that. Well, be suprised. The lady who was looking for us had long brown hair, she wasnt nice, did never excused for anything, and got even angry when I asked about the wifi. 1. When we arrived with my boyfriend... More

A generous sized room with small bathroom. This hotel will not hesitate to use frayed towels. The price is fair for the location and what you get. Room 515 is considered "quiet" and faces the back which is a whole lot of roofs. While you may not get street noise, you will certainly get the noise of airconditioning and cooking... More

If you stay here be sure to get a room on the 6th floor (we had 608 and our friend had 603 both with a balcony and they were totally quiet .) The hotel is renovating and rooms below 5th floor are awful. (When we arrived at 11pm they put us in an un-renovated room without hot water, freezing cold,... More

I stayed her a few nights when on a volcano climbing trip to the Mexico City area. The location is excellent, the rooms spacious and comfortable. What really stood out for me was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The water heat and pressure wasn't the greatest, and the TV selection was... More
