On our arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff into an absolutely stunning lobby. The room was fine, very clean, although the lighting wasn't great. we had a room in the back, so it was quiet, but we did hear people coming back from the bars. We ate at the restaurant every morning for breakfast (buffet) and on occasion... More

This hotel has charm and authenticity in abundance and it is a pity that Trip Adviser has published so many critical reviews. Yes, it is old and old hotels tend not to have huge rooms or mega bathrooms but Geneve makes up for this by providing an experience of a "grand dame" hotel that has been (and is being) lovingly... We stayed four nights at the Geneve over the new year period, and were impressed from the moment we walked in to the lobby. All staff were very helpful during our stay, even though our Spanish is very limited. We loved the decor and the size of our room. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and quiet hotel... For our first trip to Mexico City we couldn't decide between a glitzy hotel in the Polanco district or the more traditional Hotel Geneve in the Zona Rosa district. We chose Hotel Geneve based on our love of properties with character and it surpassed all of our expectations. The hotel clearly has an amazing history and fabulous stories to tell...we... More

Beautiful and charming lobby and ground floor. We, unfortunately, had a room on a higher floor, which was not nearly at atmospheric. Nonetheless, the room was clean and comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water. If you want to be in the Zona Rosa, this place is perfect. It is also very convenient to get around... More

My wife and I are still love this classic hotel. The lobby and in-house breakfast/brunch restaurant are stylish. The staff is always helpful. Secure taxis at the door if you need them. Regular taxis on Reforma three blocks away. Metro three blocks away. A good concierge with maps and advice. And discount prices on regular rooms. The park, the museums,... More

Arrived from the "red eye" flight at 1.00 am. As before the staff, were polite and helpful. If you would like a special bed arrangement, double, king etc. I suggest you request it at the time of making the reservation. The restaurant is charming, the food Mexican and good. Despite what another reviewer said, I suggest that for the money,... More

We had booked (via telephone) pick up in the airport upon arrival, but unfortunately no one showed and when we called the hotel they had lost our pick-up information. The hotel is very charming, the rooms are fine and has a safe. The breakfast is ok, but expensive. The general service is very good.

My returning visit to this classic hotel ha never been a disappointment. Located in the heart of the Zona Rosa, two blocks from the American Embassy, on a somewhat quite street; This is the best of all worlds in Mexico city. There is something charming about this hotel, aside from its history, its a period piece, almost a movie set. While it can do with a spruce and a carpet clean I am drawn to this hotel. Its apparently famed for its sandwiches - the BLT's were rather good. The service overall was attentive. Towards the rear of the hotel at... More
