If you are expecting to stay waking distance of bars and restaurants and shops, this is not the Polanco you have in mind. The hotel is more like a "prison", and location is definitely deceiving. The hotel is huge, which is not that convenient to run in and out. The rooms are not bad, but all looks and feels very... More

I recently stayed two nights on a business trip. While well located in Polanco it desperately needs a rehab. I felt like I was back in the 80's. I got a discounted rate of $140 usd per night which had I paid any more I would have been extremely upset. The breakfast buffet was average and overpriced. The rooms are... More

Well located in the Polanco area, near the Castillo de Chapultepec, The museum of Modern Art, the Zoo, and the Museum of Anthropology, the Chapultepec Park. Polaco is the MUST chic area for shopping in the city, you will find boutiques from every designer that you find on New York's 5th Avenue, as well as great Restaurants. It is safe to... More

This is a very well known hotel, with wonderful architecture, however, the rooms are in urgent need of refurbishment as well as their linens. It is definitely not a five star unless internal work is done, excellent location.

I was staying at this hotel for weeks in 2013. One day, as it happens to all frequent travelers, my flight was cancelled. Then, it was not necessary for me to continue that business trip. I arrive at the hotel a week later. I was notified by the PS Manager that his credit card was charged for a room the... More

The hotel is well located and has pretty good restaurants. The rooms are spacious but service is inconsistent. The rooms in the back, windows to the street are so noisy it seems you are sleeping with you window open. Lots of places in the hotel are contaminated by the smell of smokers.

This hotel is large with over 700 rooms and several restaurants but has a dated 1970s feel. On the positive side, the rooms are relatively comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. The fitness centre seemed okay. The negative was that there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room and one needs to pay approx $15 for the... More

Staying at this hotel is liking living in a work of art. It's wondrous! For $130 per nite, possibly the best deal on the planet. Having a margarita right now in the lobby bar on top of a pool. Our room has a balcony on a yellow facade like a pyramid.

What this hotel needs is someone new to take it over and make it what it could be. Hotel is huge---has a cavernous lobby, wide hallways, etc. Lots of dead, empty space--in my opinion devoid of flair or personality. What it needs is a complete new refurbishment. Paint, carpeting, rooms are OLD and very tired. I am in Mexico for... More

Hotel could use new paint & carpeting. Rooms are nice & Very clean. Great bathroom. No coffee maker or free wifi. Great coffee shop(Token Cafe) on 2nd floor, Warning!!! Not open on Sunday! In the hotel ate at Morimoto (okay & $$$$), Maria Bonita (good$$), Centro Castellano (okay$$$). The catered snacks for the cocktail party at the hotel were mediocre... More
