This was my third stay at the Camino Real, the first time being round 8-10 years ago. I remember my first visit as being blown away by the cool architecture, the amazing fountain in the entranceway, the bar made out of solid ice in the lobby where they served great martinis. Boy has that all gone now. I arrived at... More

Most of the hotel front desk agents act like robots, they don't care about their guests, From the time I arrived to the hotel, everything was really bad, I wasn't allowed to check-in 20 minutes early due to hotel regulations, in addition they didn't honor my online reservation including original price, bed size, room location, etc. I was forced to move... This place has an old mexico feel and nice large rooms. The showers are amazing and so are the beds. I like the hotel staff hospitality and friendliness. Well located, it is easy to go anywhere. Food is good, portions are huge! More

When you asked for a taxi they charged you more than the double. From toluca Airport to Camino Real Polenco with Caminante taxi we paid 510 pesos and from Camino real to Toluca airport 1,3000. Also, each time we asked for a taxi they charged 70 pesos more in Mexico. More

Stayed here for conference inside the hotel. The hotel seemed dated as we stepped into the lobby. The check-in and service in general was very friendly and efficient. The bellmen and concierges were very nice and helped us with restaurants and getting tickets for a local soccer game. Our room was nice enough, but also can use a bit of... More

This is no longer a 5 star hotel. The rooms are tired. Fact that safe didn't work treated as if it was common. Light fixture hanging by its cord. One of lights missing bulb. No paper in the morning. Understaffed at breakfast and staff not all that friendly or helpful. Our room was at the back-end and they locked the... More

The hotel was very unusual in its architecture, which was expected, but very warm and in good shape in the common areas. My room was very clean but the carpet was purple, ala Prince Purple Rain days and the other colors more muted. My room was comfortable, as a matter of fact the bed was as comfortable as any bed...
